    Edgbaston, home of the Bears, hosts the first ever day-night Test match to be played in England on Thursday - only the fifth in international cricket anywhere.

    The venue welcomes the West Indies and England bowler Stuart Broad says he is "excited" by the format.

    Entrances to empty shops in Coventry city centre are being boarded up to stop homeless people sleeping in them.

    The Business Improvement District has told BBC Coventry and Warwickshire they hope it will encourage rough sleepers to seek refuge in safer areas.

    But homeless people in Coventry say they feel like they are being pushed out.

    A Coventry family say their garden is been ruined by mysterious flooding.

    They say no-one knows what's causing the problems in Farcroft Avenue in Eastern Green and they can't use their gardens until the problem's solved.

    A Warwickshire police officer has written a book to help pay for bone cancer treatment for his son.

    Alex Goodwin, who is 10, has a rare form of the illness called Ewing's Sarcoma and is being treated in Kansas.

    Proceeds from dad Jeff's book, Alexander's Journey, will go towards paying for Alex's rehab.

    The Sky Blues goalkeeper Lee Burge says he's determined to stay with the club and fight for his first team place.

    Burge returned to action after recovering from a shoulder injury by playing in the Under-23s 1-0 win against Bolton.

    Summer signing Liam O'Brien has been in goal for the opening first team games of the season and Burge says the competition between the pair will be healthy.

    The former Warwickshire star took 25 wickets during the series win against South Africa.
