Council tax bills across Nottinghamshire are to go up by almost 5% from April.
The county council approved its budget for the next financial year at a meeting this afternoon.
The rise is made up of a 2% levy to pay for adult social care and a 2.99% increase to base council tax.

A charity is to take over the running of ten libraries in Derby.
Derby City Council's confirmed that the charity Direct Help and Advice (DHA) will take over the libraries.
The authority added that DHA has been through a robust evaluation process.

Nottinghamshire Police is being investigated for the way officers used force during an arrest in Sneinton earlier this month.
On 3 February a 44-year-old man was arrested after reports of a disturbance at the junction of Devon Street and Carlton Road.
The man was driven in a police van to Bridewell Police Station - during his detention he was taken for hospital treatment where it was found he had head injuries including a fractured cheek.Nottinghamshire Police referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, external (IOPC) which is now investigating.
The IOPC would like to hear from anyone who saw or recorded what happened to help them with their investigation.

Swindon boss David Flitcroft is the early bookies' favourite to take over as Mansfield Town manager.
Flitcroft (pictured right) took over at the Robins in the summer and they currently occupy the final League Two play-off place.
Other names being mentioned by bookmakers for the vacancy include ex-Hull and Southend manager Phil Brown and former Birmingham and Huddersfield boss Lee Clark.

The A1 is still closed in both directions near Retford after a 16 vehicle pile-up on the southbound carriageway.
Five lorries are among the vehicles involved in the crash that happened at about midday.
Injuries are believed to be minor at this time.
Meanwhile the northbound carriageway is at a standstill because of the weather, police said.
Nottinghamshire Police has said it is "working hard" to get the road reopened.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
Medals belonging to a man who "may have unwittingly caused the Titanic to sink" are to be sold.
David Blair forgot to hand over a key to a crow's nest locker containing binoculars when he was taken off the ill-fated liner at the last minute.
The doomed steamer famously hit an iceberg on its maiden voyage across the Atlantic.
Murray Shaw, who owns the medals, said Mr Blair could have helped steer the ship to safety.

The news was announced on Facebook this morning by Fab FM, external, a radio station he'd helped to launch in 2014.
Mr Harris, who worked for a number of commercial stations in the Midlands, external, including Mercia FM and Leicester Sound, also presented on BBC Derby and BBC Coventry and Warwickshire.
