    The river level at the River Derwent in Chatsworth has reached record levels, according to the Environment Agency.

    It was measured at 5.21m at 01:45.

    The previous record at this location of the river was 4.71m, measured on 25 June 2007.

    There are currently 13 flood warnings in place for different sections of the Derbyshire river.

    The body of a woman has been pulled from flood water in Darley Dale.

    Emergency services were called to the River Derwent in Darley Dale, close to Matlock, in the early hours of this morning.

    Derbyshire Police said the woman was reported to have been swept away by water in Rowsley and found in Darley Dale.

    Her family has been informed.

    The A1 remains closed closed near Newark-on-Trent, Highways England has said.

    The agency said "standing water on the carriageway" and heavy rainfall had caused the issues on the road between the B6325 near North Muskham and the B1164 near Tuxford.

    A Rolls-Royce spokesman said: "Due to the volume of sustained rainfall, the River Derwent has reached high levels and is at risk of flooding.

    "The site has been made safe, all product has been stored securely and we are making final provisions in the event of flooding.

    Derby City Council has activated its emergency planning process in response to the flooding.

    Tonnes of soil slipped down the bank towards houses on Bank End Close, burying gardens and forcing 35 homes to be evacuated.
