A dramatic increase in the number of people camping has led to piles of rubbish, barbecues and tents dumped in Dovedale and other beauty spots, the National Trust has said, external.
The organisation said 170 large bin bags of litter were collected over three days in June after visitors flocked to the Peak District attraction as lockdown restrictions were eased.
It said over the past few weeks staff had cleared 25 tents, 20 camping chairs, six air beds, two camping tables and several disposable barbecues from Dovedale, which forms part of the White Peak estate.
Ben McCarthy, from the trust, said: "We have seen a huge increase in the number of people fly-camping at our places over the past few weeks, and they are leaving not only vast quantities of litter behind, but in some instances tents and much of their equipment.
“We are seeing a disposable festival mentality which we've not experienced at our places before.
"We want to remind people to follow the countryside code and that they should only camp overnight with a landowner's permission."

A mother has appealed for information to trace her daughter's movements prior to her death.
American-born Tristianna Mahana, 31, was found in Worksop and was taken to hospital by paramedics on 10 July. She died two days later.
Her mother Melanie Burrell, who had last seen her on Ms Mahana's birthday on 6 July, said: "I want to know where she was and what happened to her.
"I will not rest until that is discovered. I want closure for my daughter and our family.”
Nottinghamshire Police are not treating the death as suspicious and a file was being prepared for the coroner.
Ms Mahana was seen leaving her supported accommodation in Ollerton at about 09:00 on 9 July 2020 and later at Bassetlaw District Hospital at about 17:00.
Officers said her whereabouts for the next 12 hours when she was spotted the following day near Celtic Point Retail Park, in Worksop, were unknown.
Ms Mahana was last seen wearing a grey beanie hat, cream puffa jacket, red pattern leggings and dark pink trainers.
Det Con Hannah Newbold said Ms Mahana's family were "devastated" by her sudden death.
Ms Burrell added: "Tristianna was extremely vulnerable and easily-led but she was kind and gentle.
"I feel for Tristianna’s daughter, who lives in America and the impact her mother’s death will have on her."
Anyone who saw or spoke to her has been urged to contact the force on 101.

A fake traffic officer put in place to stop people parking inconsiderately while visiting Thornton Reservoir in Leicestershire has gone missing.
The foam scarecrow - named Jeremy - was created by local children last month to help with efforts to tackle the number of sightseers leaving their cars in dangerous positions on roads in Thornton.
But it disappeared at about 02:50 on Thursday. It was briefly spotted at a supermarket car park in Anstey on Friday before vanishing once again.
The group said Jeremy - given the name by children "because he looks like a Jeremy" - had made a real difference since being installed.
They have appealed for his safe return and said there would be "no consequence" for the person bringing him back.
A hi-visibility traffic warden's jacket has been put in Jeremy's place while the search goes on.
