A motorcyclist has been injured in a crash with a van, said police.
The Qingqi bike and Ford van collided in Whitwick Road, Copt Oak, near Markfield, at about 14:25 on Sunday.
The motorcyclist was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham where he is in a serious but stable condition and the van driver was not injured.
A 20-year-old Leicester man has been arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs and remains in police custody.
Det Con Anna Thorpe said: “At the time of the collision, both vehicles were travelling towards Markfield.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the collision or the vehicles beforehand.
“Similarly if anyone who has a dash cam in their vehicle which may have captured something connected to this collision, I would also be eager to speak to them.”

"Streams of snow showers are moving in from the North Sea," she said.

Rolls-Royce is proposing to temporarily shut down its jet engine factories for the first time in its history to save money.
The Derby-based engineering giant is in the middle of the biggest ever restructure.
Having been affected by coronavirus and its impact on the commercial aviation sector, Rolls-Royce is already looking to make 9,000 job cuts, a fifth of its global workforce, by the end of next year.
But the two-week suspension will mainly affect its UK operations where 12,500 people are employed.
Bosses say they will give staff clarity on the position "as soon as possible" and pay would be spread out through the year.
The Unite union says negotiations with Rolls-Royce are continuing.

East Midlands Railway has said today's snow could delay or disrupt services.
The train company is currently running to timetable but it has warned the snow forecast throughout the region today could affect that.
It said this is because snow and ice can block tracks, stopping trains moving between them.
Icicles on tunnels and bridges can damage trains, forcing them to drive slower, and the vehicles cannot travel through snow deeper than 30cm (12in) without snow ploughs being used.

The overnight snow is causing traffic problems across the region, with a few crashes and road closures delaying journeys.
A crash involving four cars on the M1 southbound at junction 29 closed two lanes this morning, meaning queues of up to 90 minutes, according to traffic monitoring site Inrix.
The lanes reopened shortly before 07:35.
Leicestershire Police have urged people to avoid roads around Uppingham because of the snow and said there are "lots of cars stuck" on the A6003.
In Derbyshire, the A6024 Holme Moss is also currently closed.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said snow and ice, particularly on smaller roads, has led to a number of crashes.
The East Midlands is waking up to a snowy start this morning - and there's more on the way.
The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for snow, covering most of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire from until 14:00 today.
There is also a yellow weather warning for snow and ice covering the whole region until midnight on Wednesday.
