    A Cornish gymnastics academy that was destroyed by fire before Christmas, has reopened.

    Kernow Gymnastics and Acro Academy, external lost equipment worth £100,000 in the December fire. It also destroyed the main reception, the swimming pool and spa at Carvynick Holiday Park, external in Summercourt near Newquay.

    The facility has now been rebuilt, and £3,500 has been raised to pay for some of the personal items which were lost.

    An elderly man has had jewellery stolen - including two expensive, old watches - in a burglary at his Plymouth home, police have said.

    It happened between 13:30 and 14:30 on Epworth Terrace on 16 April.

    A gold Omega De Ville men’s watch with links bracelet and a men’s Heuer Carrera chronograph watch were among the items stolen.

    Police say the man has lived in the area for 53 years and is "saddened and angry".

    Anyone with information is being asked to contact Devon and Cornwall Police via 101.

    A Falmouth-based police community support officer has received a special invitation to the wedding celebrations of Prince Harry and Megan Markle.

    PCSO Ellie Grey thought "someone was playing a joke" on her when she received the invitation from the Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall, Edward Bolitho.

    She said: "It is really heartwarming to be recognised like this - lots of colleagues deserve it just as much. It is a real privilege and I feel very honoured."

    Ellie is one of 1,200 members of the public from across the country who have been nominated on the strength of their contribution to their local community.

    She has been recognised for her work with the police cadets and engagement with youth and local community groups.

    Ellie can enter the grounds of Windsor Castle to watch the arrival of guests, listen to a live broadcast of the wedding and view the departure of the bride and groom's carriage procession.

    A waste firm has been fined £237,500 after a truck driver was killed by his runaway vehicle.

    Viridor worker Lee Jane, 57, was killed as he tried to stop the vehicle rolling down a slope at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth in June 2015.

    Viridor Waste Management admitted failing to make an adequate risk assessment, Plymouth Crown Court heard.

    It was cleared by a jury of failing to ensure safety of employees and exposing hospital staff to danger.

    The court was told that the firm "sincerely regrets" the death.

    The firm was also ordered to pay costs of £128,428.

    Three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was found in Penzance, police said.

    Officers were called to a property on Penare Road late on Thursday evening.

    The body has not yet been identified.

    Two men, aged 49 and 22 and a 27-year-old woman "surrendered themselves to police".

    All three remain in police custody and await questioning.

    A 16-year-old boy has gone missing from Barnstaple, police have said.

    Jamie Toleman is described as white, 5ft 4ins (1.6m) tall, with short brown hair and last seen wearing a grey jacket and black and grey Air Max trainers.

    Police say he could be in the company of an older man in his 30s.

    Anyone with information is being asked to not make Jamie aware of police interest and to "call 999 immediately".
