A fuel tanker which went over on its side on the A386 in Devon did not leak any of its payload, firefighters say.

The tanker toppled on the road at Horrabridge, around the Graybridge Road area, partially crushing a car. There were no reports of any injuries, police said.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said, external that some fuel was leaking, but "on investigation it was found to be from the lorry itself, not the tanker section".

Fire crews said the tanker was carrying about 1,700 litres of red diesel, 1,400 litres of kerosene and 150 litres of diesel.

A spill kit was deployed to contain fuel that did spill, and a recovery operation removed the tanker.
