    The Environment Agency has given its flood risk forecast for the next three days, but it's areas further east that are likely to be affected."During Friday afternoon and into the early evening areas of heavy thundery rain will move eastwards affecting parts of the south and east of England. 

    "This could lead to surface water flooding impacts, especially in urban areas, such as flooding on the road and rail network leading to significant travel delays, and possibly the flooding of properties and parts of communities. 

    "On Saturday afternoon in the far south-east of England further heavy showers may develop, leading to some localised travel disruption and possibly some property flooding."

  7. Tree fall causes delays between Leamington Spa and Banburypublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 16 September 2016

    A tree on the line between Leamington Spa and Banbury is causing disruption, Network Rail has warned, external.

    A spokesman said trains were being delayed by up to 30 minutes.

    He added: "Trains will be unable to run from Banbury towards Leamington Spa until the tree has been removed.

    "Disruption is expected to continue until 16:00."

  16. Train lines still delayed across the Southpublished at 13:40 British Summer Time 16 September 2016

    Here is an update on which train lines are currently or altered across the network in the South:

    • Alton to London Waterloo: Will run non-stop between Woking and London to avoid congestion
    • Guildford to Ascot: There are delays of up to 10 minutes but tickets are also usable on Great Western Railway and Stagecoach services
    • Reading to Bedwyn: Trains are now able to call to Newbury, although flooding is still affecting the area
    • Swindon to Oxford and Didcot Parkway to Reading: One platform is in use at Didcot Parkway after earlier flooding, causing alterations to timetables
    • An earlier landslip around Watford Junction has caused major disruption to trains travelling to and from London Euston station

    Delays are expected until 15:00 BST, more information is available on the National Rail website, external.
