    A house has been struck by lightning overnight during storms inChristchurch, Dorset.

    Firefighters were called to the house in Crossway after fire broke out in the roof following the strike.

    The fire service said the people living in the house were uninjured.

    Police are currently tackling reports of flooding in Maidenhead, Newbury and Chieveley in Berkshire. 

    Thames Valley Police says there is "severe disruption" on the M4 at the A34 junction near Newbury.
