Lightning strike sets roof alightpublished at 06:52 British Summer Time 16 September 2016
A house has been struck by lightning overnight during storms inChristchurch, Dorset.
Firefighters were called to the house in Crossway after fire broke out in the roof following the strike.
The fire service said the people living in the house were uninjured.

South West trains are running all services at reduced speeds across its network in Dorset, there is also reported flooding at Bournemouth Station.

Police are currently tackling reports of flooding in Maidenhead, Newbury and Chieveley in Berkshire.
Thames Valley Police says there is "severe disruption" on the M4 at the A34 junction near Newbury.
