A woollly mammoth tusk dating back 50,000 years has been found almost intact in a quarry in south Worcestershire.

A woolly mammoth tusk that is around 50,000 years old has been found in a quarry in south Worcestershire.
Workers at Clifton Quarry discovered the tusk almost completely intact.
Rob Hedge, who's part of the county's archaeology team, said the tusk only survived in such good condition thanks to the sharp eyes of one on the workers in the quarry.

This CCTV footage shows a second break-in at the Regal Cinema in Evesham in less than a month.
The Grade II listed building reopened in 2012.

An unprovoked attack on a man in his 50s, external in the early hours of this morning is being investigated by the police.
West Mercia Police say the assault happened in Old School Lane, Hereford (pictured), sometime between 02:00 and 02:10.
Two teenagers approached the man as he was getting into his car, and one kicked the bonnet before assaulting him, police say.

Two sisters from Kington have been given suspended sentences for sexual offences against a young boy.
Juliane Fellows, 30, Llewellin Road, Kington, was given a 24-month suspended sentence after being found guilty of gross indecency and sexual activity with a child.
Jennifer Fellows, 32, from Hatton Gardens in Kington, was given a 12-month suspended sentence after pleading guilty of indecent assault, and inciting a boy aged between 13 and 17 to sexual activity.
Worcester Crown Court ordered them to be put on the sex offenders register for the next 10 years.
A 15-year-old who hasn't been seen since he left his home in Henwick Road, Worcester on Tuesday evening is being sought by the police.
West Mercia Police say Long Nguyen has connections to Birmingham and maybe within the area.

Sir Chris Holmes says up to 20 Paralympic teams are waiting to see if they will get the promised travel grants to the event, and only 12% of the seats have been sold.
