    A woman in Kidderminster has spent part of today trapped in a lift.

    Fire crews were called just after midday to a property on Blackwell street where the lady was stuck between the first and ground floor.

    An engineer and the fire service managed to free her.

    Worcestershire County Council is pressing ahead with cuts to services at its children's centres. Proposals for savings totalling more than £3m were approved in the last half hour. 

    The council insists none of the 32 buildings the authority owns will close.
