    The disruption has been caused by a landslide at Watford Junction.

  3. Bat survey on Malvern Hills a 'great success'published at 13:19 British Summer Time 16 September 2016

    A survey looking at the number of bats in the woodlands on the Malvern Hills has been hailed as a "great success" by the charity that looks after hills.

    The survey, carried out for the Malvern Hills Conservators, external,  found six bat species in Park Wood.

    The Unbroken Britain survey, external was carried out on behalf of a finance company.

    Grace Jones, who lives in Broadway, is celebrating her 110th birthday.

    1906, the year she was born, saw two huge natural disasters.

    On 7 April, Mount Vesuvius erupted, devastating the city of Naples.

    A new training centre which brings terrorist incidents and other life-threatening events to life for the emergency services is launching today in Hereford today.

    Iquarus uses technology usually seen on film sets, including pyrotechnics and professional actors, to put front-line responders into realistic scenarios.

    Train operator London Midland is advising all passengers to make checks before they travel after a train derailed near Watford Junction this morning, disrupting services.

    The extent of delays is "unknown" it says, referring people travelling south to its website, external and National Rail, external.
