    A father-of-two who has an inoperable brain tumour is about to have his 100th bout of chemotherapy.  

    Ben Lindon, who's 37 and from Malvern, cheated death after surviving nearly two weeks of seizures in September last year. 

    He was unable to walk, and talk, but has made a remarkable recovery and is now taking part in a 10-day cycle race from John O'Groats to Land's End.

    West Midlands Ambulance Service says three people have been hurt, but their injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening.

    The redevelopment of Worcester's Cathedral Square has gone nearly £500,000 over budget.

    Worcestershire County Council has had to contribute more than £445,000 in extra money for the project. 

    The £20m development will include more restaurants, a coffee shop and a gym and is hoped to create 100 jobs in the city.

    A 27-year-old man who was recently released from prison in Redditch is being sought after he breached his licence conditions, police say, external.

    Kye Calder was released from HMP Hewell Prison in July.

    Police say he has connections to the Kidderminster area.

    I've been to see a Worcestershire company which has developed a new way of taking fingerprints from surfaces where it was previously difficult to see them.

    New bank notes will be made of plastic, with complicated background designs, to make it difficult to copy. 

    It also made it difficult for police to take fingerprints. But, Foster and Freeman limited, based in Evesham, have come up with a solution using powder and infrared light.

  16. Rail delays and cancellations until 8pmpublished at 17:53 British Summer Time 13 September 2016

     A signalling problem, external between Hereford and Great Malvern is causing delays of up to 20 minutes and cancellations to trains between Hereford and Worcester Foregate Street, the National Rail website says.

    This is expected to continue until 8pm.

    London Midland route between Hereford and Birmingham New Street is affected.

  17. Rugby: Faosiliva before RFU disciplinary panel after red cardpublished at 17:43 British Summer Time 13 September 2016

    Worcester Warriors' Alafoti Faosiliva will appear before a disciplinary panel on Wednesday evening charged with striking another player with the arm and/or elbow, the Rugby Football Union has announced.

    The Warriors' player was sent off by referee Luke Pearce in the weekend’s Aviva Premiership match between Worcester and Gloucester.

    The incident occurred in the second half of the game and was referred to the TMO for review before the back rower was red carded.
