Quote MessagePeople need to wise up as well and stop abusing the NHS [by] going to A&E & Primary Care when their ailments could wait for a GP. It's so abused, a little thought could free up valuable funds and resources in other areas. So sad for the families affected by this, sad sign of the times. The nurses, doctors and staff are doing their very best with limited resources."
Zoe Davies
Quote MessageIt's about time that Kidderminster hospital had an A&E reopened along with Redditch as we can see that Worcester cannot cope any longer."

Worcester Wolves’ flanker Sam Lewis says the younger players have stood up well this season and the squad is looking to build in their success over Harlequins.
Warriors’ 24-17 victory at Sixways was only their second victory of the Aviva Premiership season and Lewis says the challenge now is to back it up when they go to Gloucester on Saturday, 7 January.

John Freeman, from Rushwick, believes the situation in Worcester is symptom of wider problems in the NHS.
Quote MessageThe nursing staff were admirable - I can't thank them enough for what they did, but they were working in a situation that was just deplorable. My wife was stuck in a corridor right next to the fire escape but she couldn't get any sleep because of the trolleys banging in and out, so they moved her to the plaster room, which is ridiculous."
John Freeman
The trust running the hospital says high demand has "unfortunately led to patients waiting longer than we would aim for", but adds that all A&E patients continue to be seen and treated in order of clinical priority.
Its statement says that the focus "continues to be on providing safe emergency care".
There will be nothing to stop disabled people enjoying Worcester's new £10.5m swimming pool at the Perdiswell leisure centre. The pool opens tomorrow.
