    Lyon has come in as cover for John Hastings who is away on ICC Champions Trophy duty with Australia.

  2. Flying Scotsman coming through the county laterpublished at 11:00 British Summer Time 19 May 2017

    The Flying Scotsman's passing through Shropshire and Herefordshire again today.

    The historic train is travelling from north to south, passing through Whitchurch and then Shrewsbury at around 12:00 on its way to Hereford and then on to Cardiff.

    Thousands of people went to catch a glimpse during the steam train's extended stay in the counties last year - this time it's quite literally a flying visit.

    Worcestershire's young, largely home-grown side currently look one of the hottest prospects in the country.

    As well as winning six times in eight matches over the last three weeks to top their One-Day Cup group and earn a home semi-final on 17 June, they also won their opening two County Championship matches.

    But their progress could be halted by the weather today. Already, reports BBC Hereford & Worcester's Dave Bradley, it has been decided that there will be no play before lunch on the opening day of their match at Derby due to heavy overnight rain.

    The smooth running of 16 GP practices and clinics across the West Midlands could be at risk if a medical company doesn't complete its paperwork by the weekend.

    Integral Medical Holdings has until Sunday to get its accounts to Companies House or it will be wound up.

    The firm is already five months overdue, but the company has assured thousands of patients the problem will be resolved in time.

    A special service is being held at Hereford Cathedral tomorrow to honour the dozens of men from Herefordshire and Worcestershire who died in the Falklands War.

    Thirty five years ago today 18 members of the SAS from Hereford were killed in a Sea King helicopter crash.

    A total of 255 British servicemen, three Falkland islanders and 649 Argentinian troops died in the conflict.

    Craig Jones was killed in the battle on Mount Longdon.

    New Zealand-born Te'o was a surprise choice for the squad and says it's a great opportunity.

    Bloor Homes has submitted plans to Herefordshire Council for a mixed use development.

    As well as the 625 new homes, which the developer says would include affordable housing, the proposals also include land for business use and, external a "canal corridor".

    Mikey Knight, from Droitwich, is one of just 100 UK poker players to qualify for Vegas 100, a competition he won last year.

    "I'm a bit of a target," he said "now that everyone wants to take the champ out, but I'm going to give it my all".
