  1. Britain's most disruptive dog: Dusty 'still too naughty for a football ground'published at 17:31 British Summer Time 15 May 2017

    A pet beagle, dubbed Britain's naughtiest dog could be stuck with the title for a little longer, despite a special six-week training programme. 

    Dusty earned the title last month after he ran on to the football pitch at Halesowen and brought the game to a standstill.  

    His owner, the former Redditch United and Worcester City player Asa Charlton, says there's been some improvement but he's still too naughty for a repeat trip to a football ground.

  2. Pensioner ends up in Scotland, after missing motorway exit in Worcesterpublished at 17:19 British Summer Time 15 May 2017

    A Worcestershire pensioner ended up driving 300 miles on what was supposed to be a 10-minute trip after she missed a motorway turn-off. 

    Valerie Johnson from Peopleton accidentally travelled for eight hours instead of 10 minutes after she got mixed-up in a diversion caused by motorway roadworks, her family told the BBC.  

    The 83-year-old who was on her way to an appointment at the city's royal hospital - a six-mile journey - kept on heading north on the M5 and the M6.

    The police spotted Valerie's car on CCTV at Preston, still heading north.   

    Her daughter Karen Maskell ended up flying to Scotland, after the fuel in Valerie's car ran out in Larkhall.

    The Rail Accident Investigation Branch is looking into an incident at Droitwich train station in which a 17-year-old passenger nearly lost his right arm. , external

    It says it's currently gathering further information to decide what, if any, action to take, following the accident last Friday evening.

    The teenager fell between the train and the platform as the train was pulling out of the station. 

    The train operator London Midland is also carrying out its own investigation.

  4. Charity football match remembers those killed in Tunisia terror attackpublished at 16:39 British Summer Time 15 May 2017

    Thousands turned out in Walsall for a celebrity football match in memory of the victims of a terror attack on a beach in Tunisia.

    It was organised in part by the family of Joel Richards, a University of Worcester student, who died alongside uncle Adrian Evans, grandfather Patrick Evans and 35 others in shootings near Sousse in 2015.

    The money raised will be split between Compton Hospice and Smile for Joel,  a charity set up by his mother Suzy and and brother Owen.

    A seven-year-old boy who suffered a serious brain injury during his birth at Worcestershire Royal Hospital will receive millions of pounds in NHS compensation. 

    The boy's family sued the hospital for negligence. 

    The trust deny liability, but have today agreed a settlement that will guarantee his care for life - a move described by Judge Jeremy Freedman in the High Court as a "very good settlement" on both sides.

    The boy, who has cerebral palsy and is dependent on a wheelchair, will receive a £1.5m lump sum plus index linked payments of £130,000 a year for the rest of his life.

    Judge Freedman described the boy as an "extremely happy, content little chap" and praised his parents for the "unstinting care and devotion you have shown him in his life".

  6. Thousands enjoy Malvern's Spring Festivalpublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 15 May 2017

    Thousands of visitors enjoyed Malvern's Spring Festival over the weekend organised by the Royal Horticultural Society. 

    The event at the Three Counties Showground is the biggest gardening festival outside London, according to the RHS.

  7. Injured motorcyclist airlifted after crashing twice 'within minutes'published at 15:14 British Summer Time 15 May 2017

    A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital after being involved in two separate collisions in Evesham within a few minutes of each other, , externalpolice say. 

    In the first crash at 13:50 yesterday, according to the West Mercia force, the rider collided with a cyclist on Cheltenham Road who needed hospital treatment for a hand injury.

    Police said the motorcylist, who's in his 20s, then got back on his bike and almost immediately collided with a stationary Volkswagen van on Falkland Road. 

    He was seriously injured and taken to hospital by air ambulance.

    An environmental charity says Worcester's use of fines to tackle littering is "reasonable" despite nearly 10 times more being issued in the city, compared with any other parts of Worcestershire or Herefordshire.

    Worcester City Council served 346, £75 fines, in the last financial year, compared with only four in Malvern and none at all in Redditch and Bromsgrove. 

    Herefordshire Council issued five in the last calendar year, but Wyre Forest handed out 40.

    A Worcestershire woman says she's lucky to have survived a car crashing into her home in Hallow, moments after she arrived home from work.  

    Sue Perkins and her husband Mike have lived in their bungalow in Hallow for 30 years, and are the third generation of the family to call it their home. 

    But on Friday a car came crashing into the living room - luckily Sue was in the hallway.

    A neighbour has been praised for their swift action in alerting the police to a burglary near Worcester, , externalfollowing the sentencing of three men for the offence at Hereford Crown Court. 

    Troy Gayle, 23, from Leasow Drive in Birmingham, Michael Nelson, 18, from Hayfield Court in Birmingham and Daniel Sheridan, 24, from Brooklands Road in Birmingham were sentenced to at least four years each for the burglary in July last year in Fernhill Heath, as well as other offences.

    Celebrities including Katie Price and Coronation Streets's Shayne Ward have taken part in a football match in memory of Joel Richards, who was killed in the Tunisia terror attacks. 

    Joel, from Wednesbury, was a student at the University of Worcester. He died alongside his uncle, grandfather and 35 others in terror attacks near Sousse in 2015.

    The body of a man in his 30s, who had gone missing from the Grafton Flyford area near Inkberrow in Worcestershire, has been found. 

    The police had been called at around 23:20 yesterday following concerns about the man's safety. 

    His body was found near a bridge in the Grafton Flyford area and police say the death is not being treated as suspicious.

    The organiser of a marathon rugby union match in Worcester hopes they've set a new world record, after playing non-stop for 30 hours. 

    The contest at Sixways over the weekend raised more than £50,000 for charity and will set a new Guinness World Record, if it's officially verified.

  17. Stourport mum's appeal to treat her baby's skull defectpublished at 10:22 British Summer Time 15 May 2017

    A woman is trying to raise £4,000 to buy special helmets to treat a skull defect in her nine-month-old daughter. 

    Liliarna Oram-Turner, from Stourport-on-Severn, has a condition which causes the skull to be partially flat and her mum Emily-Jane says without treatment, Liliana's speach and development could be severely affected.

    The NHS has told the family they no longer provide the helmets because there's insufficient evidence that they're effective.

  18. Helicopter search for missing manpublished at 10:03 British Summer Time 15 May 2017

    An air and land search has been carried out in Worcester this morning, after a drunk person was reported missing, police say.

    The police helicopter, several police cars, the fire service and ambulance crews searched the area along the river between the old bridge and Diglis.

    The alarm was raised at 03:35 by a member of the public fearing for the missing man's safety.

    The police say they have been unable to locate the man and the emergency services have left the scene.
