    Security Minister Ben Wallace told Redditch MP Rachel Maclean the government was investing £1.9bn in cyber-security, including funding for the National Crime unit and the National Cyber-Crime Centre, among other bodies.

    He said funding was also being made available to regional organisations to fight cyber-crime.

    An eight-metre high sculpture is now dominating the walled garden of a Herefordshire Georgian mansion.

    The pink pavilion at Berrington Hall, near Leominster, is the work of the internationally renowned artists Heather and Ivan Morison and is now on display in the grounds of the final masterpiece of the 18th Century landscape architect Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown.

    The former police station in Worcester could soon be offered to help small businesses that need office space.

    The building in Copenhagen Street was being used by the city council's ICT Services Team. Now they've moved elsewhere, the council is considering converting it for use by start-ups, small hi-tech and creative businesses.

    Councillors will debate later this month whether to allocate £60,000 of New Homes Bonus funding to make adaptations to the building.

    A Worcester long distance runner has been selected for the World University Games in Chinese Taipei.

    Jenny Nesbitt, 22, runs for Worcester Athletics Club and is a GB international.

    She said specialising in long-distance races meant her career could have greater longevity than other athletic disciplines and took the pressure off being selected for the next Olympics.

    Nesbitt is also set to represent Britain at the European Under 23 Championships in Poland.

    The RSPCA is searching for the owners of a cat which was seriously injured in what's thought to have been a shotgun attack.

    The black and white male was found in Spetchley near Worcester last Tuesday and has survived several operations to remove pellets from all over its body.

    The Commission on Islam has published a report listing recommendations on how to bring the two communities together following recent terror attacks in the UK.

    A cat has been seriously injured in what's thought to have been a shotgun attack.

    The RSPCA say the black and white male was found unable to stand in Spetchley near Worcester and x-rays showed his body was peppered with pellets.

    A plaque has been put up on the riverside by Worcester Cathedral showing its precincts are home to a rare kind of bat.

    It's unusual for the Lesser Horseshoe Bat to live in an urban environment, but they have made their home in the cathedral grounds.

    The information board shows what the bats look like and what they like to be surrounded by.
