    A Herefordshire coracle maker has found his wares in demand from Hollywood.

    Peter Faulkner, from Leintwardine, has made 300 of the small boats since falling in love with them during a journey down the River Teme.

    Since then, some of them have appeared in films such as Snow White and the Huntsman and Robin Hood.

    Peter has paddled hundreds of miles in the boats and is aiming to paddle 1,000 miles.

    The first ever car number plate issued in Worcestershire is set to be sold and, according to one historian, it could raise around £250,000.

    AB 1 came into use in 1903 and was traditionally used on the chief constable's car.

    Now the Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion has decided to sell it to raise money for the force.

    A man who was shot by an armed police officer on Wednesday night is in a stable condition in hospital, the West Midlands force says.

    The victim, said to be in his early 40s, was shot in Hereford Close, Rubery.

    A 21-year-old man arrested on suspicion of firearms offences has been bailed under strict curfew conditions.

    Two other men, aged 17 and 20, and a 53-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of drugs offences have been released under investigation.

    West Mercia's bomb disposal team were called to a house in Kidderminster earlier today.

    Officers went to an address in Hawford Avenue after a call involving concerns over homemade fireworks.

    West Mercia Police say a man at the house was given safety advice by officers and the "voluntary disposal" of a number of fireworks was carried out.

    He was out caught by de Kock off the bowling of Morkel. England were all out for 353, with ben Stokes making 112.

  15. Lottery funding for museums reviewpublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 28 July 2017

    A grant of £39,300 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) will be used to conduct an external review of the Herefordshire Museums Service, the council says.

    It will look at how the museums and the staff working in them can develop in the future.

  16. Walk-in centre closespublished at 14:05 British Summer Time 28 July 2017

    Hereford's walk-in medical centre at Asda will be permanently closed from 20:00 tonight.

    The site will become the new home of the Ross Road Branch of the Moorfield House surgery and an out of hours service where people can get treatment during the evening and at weekends.

    The Herefordshire Clinical Commissioning Group say the refurbishment work will take around eight weeks.

  17. Police cycle challenge to remember fallen colleaguespublished at 13:43 British Summer Time 28 July 2017

    More than 30 police officers from around the UK are passing through the area today, on a 180-mile (290km) cycle ride in remembrance of colleagues who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

    They've been geeting some much deserved lunch in Worcestershire.
