The number of people using food banks in Herefordshire and Worcestershire has reached an all-time high of 14,000 a year now turning to them to help feed themselves and their families.

At some centres like Worcester, demand in the first five months of this year increased by 45% compared with the same period last year.

Concerns are being raised about how to meet the growing demand, with supplies of some items like peanut butter, milk and jam beginning to run low.
