    Opponents welcoming Worcester Warriors this season will be seeing red - the club are going back to that colour for their away shirts for the first time since 2009.

    The home kit will be in the traditional blue and gold colours.

    There'll be a service of remembrance at the site of munitions factory tomorrow, to remember those who were killed when it was bombed during World War Two.

    The full list of those who were killed and injured when the plant at Rotherwas in Hereford was bombed 75 years ago was never made public, but after months of research BBC Hereford & Worcester believe that at least 16 people were killed and many more bodies weren't identified.

    Ernest Chesterman (pictured below bottom with his son, Clarence) was 58 when he was killed.

    His granddaughter, Sally Roberts, told me she would love to have met him.

    The mother of a man with autism who was restrained for 11 hours at a private hospital in Worcestershire is calling for the use of restraints on people with autism to be banned.

    Adam Nasralla, who was 18 at the time, was restrained at Wast Hills, near Alvechurch before being arrested for assaulting staff.

    He's since been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

    Wast Hills hospital has said it has "co-operated in an open and transparent way with the serious case review and all its recommendations have been acted on".

    Evesham United won the Worcestershire Senior Cup last night, beating a young Kidderminster Harriers side 2-1.

    In last night's pre-season friendlies, Worcester City beat Sutton Coldfield 4-0, Redditch lost 4-1 at Stourbridge and Alvechurch were beaten 2-0 by Stratford Town.

    A surgeon jailed for carrying out unnecessary breast operations on 10 patients, including one from Worcester, has been struck off.

    A tribunal ruled the actions of 59-year-old Ian Paterson, were "serious" and "intentionally harmful" over 14 years.

    The medical practitioners tribunal also said his failure to acknowledge any of his faults, showed a lack of insight that indicated he still posed a serious risk to patients.

    Prince Charles was part of an audience of over 1,000 watching a performance of Elgar's Dream of Gerontius at Worcester Cathedral.

    The concert was part of the annual Three Choirs Festival - the Prince of Wales is president of the Three Choirs Festival Association.

    "Everything possible" is being done to minimise impact on local residents as another diversions come into force in north Worcestershire around work on the M5, Highways England say.

    Worcestershire County Council fears roads around the M5/M42 junction could "saturate" local roads.

    The agency is carrying out work on the Oldbury viaduct.

    There were two years of diversions in the area while the M5 was turned into a "smart motorway" which have only just been lifted.

    Highways England says it can "fully appreciate people’s frustrations and apologise to motorists and residents for the inconvenience".

    It says it is looking at more signs and traffic management to keep traffic moving.

    The family of a teenage boy killed when his car was hit head on on a dual carriageway are campaigning to have safety barriers installed on the central reservation.

    Ollie Sellers, who was 19, died after his car was hit on the Coventry Highway in Redditch.

    A petition launched by Tracy and Paul Sellers to have crash barriers installed has attracted more than 1.500 signatures, and been backed by the local MP.

    Worcestershire County Council says their request will be "considered in detail".

  14. 'Life threatening' injuries after multi-vehicle crashpublished at 17:16 British Summer Time 25 July 2017

    A woman is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after three vehicles crashed, police say, external.

    Police say a man and a woman in one of the cars were airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth in Birmingham after the collision on the A49 near Leominster.

    The man has since been discharged - two children who were in the same vehicle suffered minor injuries.

    The woman is now in a "serious but stable condition" police say.

    It happened on Sunday night just before 18:30.

  16. M5 viaduct work: Council 'extremely concerned' over impact on local roadspublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 25 July 2017

    Diversions which came into effect today while work is carried out on a viaduct on the M5 could "saturate" roads in north Worcestershire, the council says.

    Worcestershire County Council says it only heard about Highways England's plans reduce the M5 down to one lane northbound at the M5/M42 interchange "very late in its development".

    Highways England are carrying out repairs to the concrete on the Oldbury Viaduct junctions two and one.
