    The owner of the Lion and Key in Hull, Alan Murphy has put up a sign in his pub window telling people not to wear Christmas jumpers or festive fancy dress after 8pm (20:00 GMT).

    He's done the same in his other two pubs, WH Hawkes and Walters.

    Alan told the Hull Daily Mail , externalthat they don't want to attract stag dos and office parties, because they can't accommodate large groups.

  2. Pupils get lessons from Chinese maths masterspublished at 10:49 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2016

    I've been to meet pupils at Adelaide Primary in Hull this morning. 

    They've been having maths lessons from some masters who have come all the way from Shanghai in China this week. 

    Dai and Chen have also been giving the teachers some tips.

    People in North East Lincolnshire are being asked about plans for more than 13,000 houses in the area over the next 20 years. 

    The council says it expects around 9,000 new jobs to be created by 2032, so it needs to build more houses as a result.

    Humberside Police say Main Street in Stamford Bridge is blocked following a crash.

    One person suffered minor injuries after the incident near to the junction with Edmund Street.

    The road is now closed.

    Research by the BBC has found children as young as 12-years-old have been arrested for drink-driving in our region in the last five years.

    More than 300 children have been held for being over the limit in the area since 2010. 

    It comes as police forces across the region launch their annual Christmas purge on drinking and driving.

    If you ever feel a bit unsafe cycling on Hull's roads, a new training track is being built to give riders a place to practice.

    The one kilometre-long circuit is being built at the Ennerdale Leisure Centre to allow people to get on their bikes away from traffic.

    Schools and elite athletes will also have access to centre. 

    It's due to be completed by August 2017.

    It's three years to the day since more than 1,000 homes and businesses were flooded in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire during a tidal surge.

    More than 100 homes were affected in South Ferriby and residents there say they still aren't protected.

    There are calls for the Environment Agency to speed up improvements to flood defences.

    The Environment Agency says it's trying to get funding for a scheme for South Ferriby, but also wants to make sure it doesn't move the flood risk to another area of the estuary.
