    A woman who has been left using a wheelchair after Castle Hill Hospital failed to spot she had caught an infection has been awarded £1.5m in damages. 

    She went on to suffer a series of infections and had to have a total knee replacement. 

    The High Court heard the woman, who cannot be identified, had more than 20 operations.

    Police are warning drivers to slow down after a second multi-vehicle accident, external on the A180. 

    Eight people are thought to have suffered minor injuries.  

    The A180 westbound is now closed in both directions until the vehicles can be recovered.

    You are being advised to avoid the area and police say its likely to take a long time to clear the route.

    Earlier, motorists were stuck for hours after a lorry overturned and shed its load of coal.

    Campaigners have set up a new tent city in North Lincolnshire. 

    It's appeared near to the Scunthorpe bus station, the people living there say they want the council to help more homeless people into houses.

    In a statement North Lincolnshire council said "we have tried to engage with the people who are homeless; however they do not want to accept the help we are offering."

  12. Company still baffled by scale of cyber attackpublished at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2016

    Communications firm KCOM says it is still unsure how many customers have been affected by a cyber attack that took place over a week ago. 

    Broadband connections across the city were hit 10 days ago but some customers are still unable to connect to the internet. 

    An upgrade for all routers is now being rolled out to protect them from further attacks.

    Police are trying to find out who this man is:

    It's alleged he assaulted the driver, external of the bus he was on.

    Police say the bus driver stopped on Priory Road near to the Setting Road junction when the incident happened at around 13:30 on Saturday 26 November.

    The 32-year-old driver had to go to hospital with injuries to his face.

    There is a lot of traffic disruption in north Lincolnshire this afternoon as the A180 westbound remains closed following a lorry shedding its load of coal onto the carriageway.

    The M180, the A160 and the A18 all have heavier than usual traffic because of the closure.

    Replica Roman armour and brass goblets have been stolen from the underground crypt, external of a Hull Church. 

    Officers say the replica of a roman soldier's costume and five brass goblets were taken from the Holy Trinity Church overnight on Thursday 1 December. 

    Police are appealing for information about the distinctive items.
