    There are now 16 flood warnings in place for our region for tomorrow.

    A flood warning means flooding is expected and immediate action is required.

    Flooding is expected right across the region.

    Stormy conditions are forecast meaning a large tidal surge will move across the Lincolnshire coast which will lead to high water along the Humber Estuary. 

    High tides and strong waves could result in significant overtopping of sea defences.

    The high water is forecast from 06:00 tomorrow morning at 17:45 tomorrow evening.

    A woman's been punched to the ground in a robbery, external in Grimsby. 

    The 56-year-old woman was with a friend on Pyewipe Road (pictured) at around 12.40 yesterday when a man approached, asking for a light for his cigarette. 

    He then grabbed the woman's purse and punched her before he ran off down Boulevard and on to Armstrong Street.

    The man is white and was wearing a dark coat with a fur lined hood.

    Police are asking anyone who saw anything to call the 101 number.

  4. Ferens Art Gallery reopens after £5m refurbishmentpublished at 14:31 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2017

    Hull's main art gallery is to reopen following a £5m refurbishment for City of Culture.

    The Ferens will host the Turner Prize for contemporary art and other events during the year-long arts festival. 

    It has been closed for the last 15 months to improve lighting and climate control. 

    The gallery will reopen with the unveiling of a 14th century religious painting, Christ between Saints Paul and Peter by Pietro Lorenzetti that has been restored (pictured) by the National Gallery.

    There's been a fire in a derelict building on Heneage Road in Grimsby. 

    Three fire engines attended the scene and there was a partial road closure in place.

    Ferens Art Gallery in Hull has been closed for the last 15 months to improve lighting and climate control. 

    To celebrate it reopening and the City of Culture, a rare Pietro Lorenzetti panel painting will be unveiled today.

    Pietro Lorenzetti's rare 14th century panel painting (pictured), Christ between Saints Paul and Peter, was recently restored by the National Gallery.

    They are also loaning four other significant Italian Renaissance masterpieces. 

    The Ferens Art Gallery will also host this year's Turner Prize.

    GPs are being drafted in to help discharge patients at Scunthorpe General Hospital. 

    Managers say they're trying to relieve pressure because of unprecedented demand for services.

    An NHS North Lincolnshire CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) spokesman said: "As is the case with hospitals in many parts of the UK this week, our local acute hospital is currently experiencing significant bed pressures.

    "The CCG recognises that primary care is also experiencing extreme pressures but a system wide response has been necessary this week to ensure patient safety."

    Scunthorpe United manager Graham Alexander says a deal to loan Scott Laird back to Walsall for the rest of the season should be completed later today.  

    Alexander also confirmed there had been no firm offers for Jamie Ness and only general inquiries for players in his squad.  

    He hopes that David Mirfin could be back for the end of January following injury.

    If you get the Scunthorpe to Hull bus the closure of the A1077 at South Ferriby could affect you.

    The 350 will continue to run but Winteringham and South Ferriby will not be served for the duration of the closure.

    The road is expected to re-open on Sunday.
