    David Burns
    BBC Radio Humberside

We told you earlier about the closure of a care home in Beverley.

Relatives of people in the Molescroft Court care home were told yesterday, the decision had been taken to close the site because it's not 'fit for purpose' and is losing money.

Ron McNamara who's Chairman of the Roseberry Care Centres says the home will stay open until a new care home which is under construction - Claremont House - is built by Crown Healthcare.

The decision to postpone the closure of Molescroft Court was taken because there were not enough beds available in Beverley for the 24 residents who will need to find a new home.

Claremont House is due to open in March this year.
