    We had an email into the Burnsy show from a concerned relative who was worried after the owners of Molescroft Court Care Home in Beverley called a meeting last night.

    This morning Roseberry Care Centres have confirmed that they are going to close the Molescroft Court Care Home.

    Laura tells us the closure of her mum's care home in Beverley is devastating news.

    It's the second care home to close in the area in recent months. Westwood Park gave one month's notice to residents that it was closing in August. 

    Fifty elderly residents were told they needed to find somewhere else to live by Londesbrough Healthcare Limited who ran the home.

    They want you to post a picture or video of your favourite dance moves on Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #ChallengeHull.

    A man's been charged with racially abusing a police officer, external in Bridlington.

    Christopher Hirst, who's 26 and from Trinity Avenue in the town is due at Beverley Magistrates Court next month.

    He's been charged with using threatening or abusive words and behaviour and of racially or religiously aggravated harassment towards PC Michael Amidulla.

  4. Vandals target Cleethorpes Pleasure Islandpublished at 10:32 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2017

    There's calls for a zero tolerance approach to vandalism and anti-social behaviour in Cleethorpes this morning. 

    It follows a fire and a series of attacks at Pleasure Island theme park in the town last week. 

    The park closed last October after decades as a fixture on the North East Lincolnshire seafront.

    The owner Melanie Wood says there is security on the site but the youths are still getting into the park.

    Humberside Police are meeting with Melanie and local councillors and hope the outcome of this is positive.

    A planning application has been submitted which could see locomotives back on moorland on the Isle of Axholme. 

    It's part of a scheme to help young people develop skills in engineering. 

    The proposals by the Crowle Peatland Railway Society, external have been backed by money from North Lincolnshire Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund.

  6. 'Glassing' victim tells of attack in Hullpublished at 09:50 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2017

    We've been talking about calls for a ban on glasses and bottles in Hull's pubs and clubs this morning.

    Door Staff United who are a group of bouncers in the city have launched a campaign because they say they've seen a rise in people being glassed.

    They say the campaign is intended to improve safety.

    A complaint is made in the UK about nuisance calls every five minutes.

    Data from the Information Commissioner's Office shows about 370 people complain about cold calling every day, that's roughly one every five minutes. 

    More than half of cold calls are now automated.

    Of course many of these calls, although annoying, are legal and from legitimate companies. 

    However, BBC News found eight of the 20 most prolific calls came from the same company, which is not UK registered.

    People who work on the doors of Hull's pubs and clubs are calling for a ban on drinking glasses and bottles in late night venues.

  10. Girl, 15, arrested after death of seven-year-old in Yorkpublished at 08:34 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2017

    A 15-year-old girl has been arrested after the death of a seven-year-old girl in York, police have said.

    The younger girl was found with life-threatening injuries near an address in Alness Drive, in the Woodthorpe area of the city.

    She was taken to hospital but died a short time later, North Yorkshire Police said.

    The teenager remains in police custody and is being questioned by officers.
