    We've heard from police about this jack-knifed lorry on the A15 between Caenby Corner and Kirton Lindsey. Officers say the lorry - which is fully laden - could take five hours to clear.  Both Lincolnshire and Humberside Police are on the scene.     Visitors are being urged to take care when they are visiting the coast following the inclement weather.   

    Long stretches of coastline have been affected by coastal erosion. And residents and visitors are being advised to take care on the cliff tops and beaches.

    The council's advice is to plan your route, check the tide times and stay away from any areas with barriers displaying restricted access.

    21,200 people visited the Ferens Art Gallery and the Maritime Museum in just three days, between Friday 13 and Sunday 15 January.

    After a multi-million pound refurbishment, the Ferens opened to the public on Friday. 

    The gallery received more visitors in its first three days compared to the whole of January 2015.

    The popular Bowhead exhibition increased visitor numbers at the Maritime Museum. In the last week between Monday 9 to Sunday 15 January 12,430 people visited the Museum.

    Meet Jean Bishop, a 94-year-old known as the ‘Bee Lady’ in her home city of Hull, named city of culture 2017.

    Jean collects money for charity dressed as a giant bee, and has raised £100,00 over the past 25 years, becoming a local celebrity in the process.

    She said: “I didn’t want to put the costume on at first, but when I did it went down like a bomb.”

    “Of course, being 94, it does take it out of me a bit, but I won’t let it stop me,” she added.

    There are fears coastal erosion caused by Friday's tidal surge could mean some people are forced to leave their homes. 

    Some residents in Skipsea on the East Yorkshire coast say the storm's taken up to four feet of land from their gardens. 

    At one point there were 34 flood warnings in place along the coast and homes in Hornsea were evacuated as high tides and strong winds hit the area

  17. Inquests into Tunisian terror attack deaths underwaypublished at 14:22 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2017

    The inquest into the deaths of 30 british tourists in Tunisia in 2015, including three from this area, has started in London. 

    Claire Windass from Hull, Bruce Wilkinson from Goole and Carly Lovett from Gainsborough were among those killed by a gunman. 

    In the opening evidence, the inquest heard that Tunisian law enforcement units deliberately delayed their arrival on the scene.

    More than £7m will be spent on pothole repairs in Yorkshire and the Humber in the coming financial year.

    A 27-year-old man's been attacked as he walked down Hainton Avenue in Grimsby, external on Sunday evening. 

    The victim was approached by three men who asked him for the time and then attacked him. 

    It's believed they also searched his pockets.

    The men were white, wearing dark tracksuits and speaking with London accents.
