  1. Humberston Fitties holiday home owners want to run site themselvespublished at 11:37 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2017

Owners of holiday homes on part of the Lincolnshire coast have invited councillors to a meeting later to show them how they could run the site themselves.

    Chalets at Humberston Fitties

Last year, it was announced that residents of Humberston Fitties would be stopped from staying overnight in their properties from November until March, and now North East Lincolnshire Council wants someone else to run the site.

Papers mistakenly published on the council's website revealed the chalet owners' bid to run the site hadn't been successful.

North East Lincolnshire Council has told the BBC the preferred bidder will be named in March, and it believes the bidder will provide the best deal for the council and the people of the county.

  4. 'Two-in-one' burglaries warning in Bridlingtonpublished at 10:34 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2017

People in Bridlington are being warned to keep their car keys out of view, external in their homes after several "two-in-one" burglaries in the town.

This type of burglary sees thieves enter people's homes and steal car keys which they then use to steal cars parked nearby.

Last week, a burglar forced entry through a window of a property in Bridlington, stole various items of jewellery and car keys then drove off in the victim's car, police say.

Other incidents have seen burglars letting themselves in through unlocked doors or windows to steal keys and other valuables.

The decision now means that if the bid to Heritage Lottery Fund is successful, funds would transform the park and bring back period features lost over recent years.

Today's decision has agreed the restoration and repairs to the Grade II listed East Lodge, reinstatement of the bandstand and a new bridge over the lake.

    Quote Message

As a council we are committed to investing in cultural regeneration and it's projects like the restoration of Pearson Park that will help to put Hull on the map a world-class destination, bringing investment, jobs and prosperity to the city."
