    When you think of pioneering musicians from Hull I bet you don't think of this woman, do you?

    Hullensian Ethel Leginska, external was a musical genius who paved the way for female conductors and musicians.

    A plaque dedicated to her will be unveiled by Lord John Prescott and Councillor Mary Glew at the opening Women Of The World (WOW) event in the city.

    A special concert of her music will take place tomorrow, external  at the Ferens Art Gallery.

    Following the departure of Mike Ramsden  a new chairman has been appointed at the Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

    Terry Moran has been appointed for two years, external starting 1 April 2017 and has a wealth of experience to bring to the role according to the trust.

    An extra 300 replacement buses will be laid on by Northern Rail during planned industrial action on Monday 13 March.

    Northern tickets will also be accepted on all Arriva bus services in the north of England on the day of the strike.

    Humberside Police are warning people about fraudsters operating in our area, external after an elderly man from Kirk Ella received a call telling him he owed money to HMRC and would be arrested unless he bought £500 worth of iTunes vouchers and told the scammer the codes over the phone.

    When he went to buy the gift cards,  shop staff asked him why he needed so much and he explained what had happened.

    Staff realised he had fallen victim to a scam and took the man to the local police station.

    There was some clever detective work that went into solving the clue in this painting, which led to the location of the final piece in Treasured City, external  being found.

    A family from Grimsby finally worked out what it meant and ended up searching by torchlight to find the gold Ammonite hidden in a fence post near a restaurant in Scunthorpe.

    If you ever fancied being a train driver this could be your chance - Hull's Land Train is looking for new staff!

    It's been taking tourists from Hull city centre to sights, external including The Deep, the marina and Old Town since 2014.

    Now the man behind the initiative, Mally Welburn, says he's planning to add to the fleet.

    The country's first social supermarket chain has been awarded £600,000 to kickstart work at its new site , external in Grimsby. 

    Work on Community Shop is now underway at Centre4 on the Nunsthorpe estate. 

    It offers high quality surplus food from the manufacturing supply chain to its members at cheaper prices and is for people living in areas of deprivation and in receipt of welfare support.

    There's been in a rise in the number of staff who work for the ambulance service covering Northern Lincolnshire having stress related illnesses.

    More than 500 members of staff were affected by it in the past year compared with around 270 in 2012. 

    Unison says the rise of stress within the East Midlands Ambulance Service is mainly down to increasing targets, a lack of resources and not enough money from the Government.

    17% of the workforce in the Humber region work in manufacturing, but women are currently under-represented.

    Green Port Hull's Women into Manufacturing and Engineering (WiME) initiative, external is trying to encourage more women from this area to choose a career in these sectors. 

    WiME is holding an open day as part of Hull UK City of Culture's Women of the World festival on Saturday 11 March at the Guildhall.
