    Humberside Police are releasing a fresh appeal to identify a man (pictured) they are keen to speak with after two assaults left one victim with a broken jaw and the other unconscious.

    They both happened in the early hours of Sunday 18 December on Cliff Street, Bridlington.   

    Police believe the man may have information about the incident.

  5. Watch: Ferry passengers 'not in any danger' after chemical spill on board published at 14:42 British Summer Time 6 April 2017

    Earlier I told you about a chemical spill on board a ferry during an overnight crossing from Rotterdam to Hull .

    Passengers weren't in any danger after a spill of hydrochloric acid on board the Pride of Rotterdam at about 01:30 this morning, according to the ferry's operator P&O.

    Travellers were told not to go up on deck after what the company describes as a "minor spillage" from a freight vehicle.

    We've been bringing you news today that Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust, the trust which runs Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole hospitals,  has been put into special measures again .

    It follows an inspection by the health watchdog the Care Quality Commission (CQC) which has raised concerns over emergency, outpatient and maternity services.

    The Mayor of Grimsby is going to be remembering it all today as she serves the much-improved meals to pupils at Healing Primary.

    Councillor Christina McGilligan-Fell is doing it to raise money as part of her charity challenge.

    A primary school in Goole could win a national award today for its efforts to get pupils travelling to school in a healthier way.

    Over 20% of pupils at Boothferry Primary now travel to school on a bike and it has already been named the best school in the region for encouraging pupils to walk or cycle.

    There's also been a reduction in car usage. 

    The school won the Primary School of the Region award at the North East, Yorkshire and Humber Regional Modeshift STARS award ceremony held in Leeds.

    It will now go on to the national final which takes place in London later today.

    The licensee of the Monk's Walk pub, one of Beverley's oldest buildings, says he's afraid future owners of the building could turn it into luxury flats meaning it'll close its doors to the public after hundreds of years.

    Neil Pickford has now called a meeting at the pub this evening to urge residents to buy a share of the building, which dates back to the year 1270.

    Mr Pickford says hopes enough investors can be found to buy the property from its current owner, safeguarding it for future generations.

    The MP for Cleethorpes says it's "extremely disappointing" that Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust has been returned to special measures .

    An inspection by the Care Quality Commission - the health watchdog - has highlighted significant concerns over urgent and emergency care, outpatients and maternity services at Grimsby and Scunthorpe hospitals.

  15. Chemical spillage on Rotterdam-Hull P&O Ferrypublished at 10:45 British Summer Time 6 April 2017

    There was a "minor chemical spillage" from a freight vehicle on board the Pride of Rotterdam ferry during its voyage from Rotterdam to Hull this morning, P&O has confirmed.

    A BBC employee, who was on board the ferry at the time, says passengers were told not to worry, but not to use toilets and not to go on deck.

    It also caused minor delays for lorry drivers, who were left on board while the spillage was dealt with. 

    We understand it has now been contained.

  16. Hull honours hero Harrisonpublished at 10:13 British Summer Time 6 April 2017

    Hull is set to honour war hero and former rugby league player John "Jack" Harrison VC with a  series of commemorative events over the coming weeks.

    Mr Harrison, who had a successful career with Hull FC, was given the VC in 1917 for actions under fire in France during World War One.  

    The series of special events is due to start with the Jack Harrison Centenary fixture at Hull's home match against Warrington Wolves on Friday 28 April.  

    The stadium will host a special curtain-raiser fixture as Hull FC Reserves take on the Great Britain Armed Forces rugby league team in the Jack Harrison Challenge.

    The reserve team will wear a specially commissioned replica strip for the match based on the shirt that would have been worn by Harrison 100 years ago, while the first team will also carry a poppy on their playing jerseys.

    The Polish Ambassador to the UK says he's concerned about what will happen to people from Poland as the Brexit process gets under way.

    On a visit to Hull, Doctor Arkady Rzegocki met members of the Polish community and encouraged them to apply for permanent UK residency. 

    During the visti, Doctor Rzegocki said he hoped the fate of Poles in the UK would be one of the first issues to be discussed during negotiations as "the future of families, the future of individuals, the future of businesses is very important and uncertainty is a bad thing".

    The Prime Minister Theresa May has said the free movement of people from the EU to the UK could be extended after Brexit.

    At this time of year, you don't have to look far in the countryside to see spring lambs. 

    Most ewes give birth to just one or two young, but at Sledmere House in East Yorkshire things are going a bit differently.

    In fact, staff there are celebrating the birth of a healthy set of rare lamb quintuplets - that's five lambs born to the same mother. 

    The shepherds caring for the lambs, now known as The Jackson Five, estimate their birth is a million-to-one chance.
