    Burton Fleming in East Yorkshire welcomed dozens of new residents last night. 

    It claims to have become the first "hedgehog-friendly village" in the North. 

    Gardens have been altered to provide a habitat where the animals can thrive.

    The number of children known to be caring for an adult in East Yorkshire and some parts of Lincolnshire, has more than doubled in four years. 

    More than300 extra young carers have been identified, with some under the age of five. 

    Local authorities are legally required to assess whether young carers need support. And some schools are now training staff to identify them.

    Proposals for a biogas plant in East Yorkshire go before planners today. 

    The anaerobic digester, which would be built off the A165 near Leven, would burn farm waste to generate electricity. 

    Campaigners are worried about the impact on the local area, but the company behind the plans say it'll use the latest technology and create jobs.

    Tickton's Kyle Edmund has lost in the second round of the Monte Carlo Masters.

    He was beaten in three sets by number four seed, Spain's Rafa Nadal. 

    Edmund lost the first set to love and took the second 7-5 but in the deciding set he went down 6-3.

    Prince William and Prince Harry have lent their support to a runner from Hull as he tackles the London Marathon for the first time.

    The brothers have been raising the profile of mental health in recent days. 

    Paul Plowman (pictured in the blue jersey) is part of their latest project which has been filmed for BBC One. It features a group of runners living with different mental health issues as they prepare to take on the 26-mile race this Sunday.

    Paul Plowman will be joining Peter on Look North at 1830 on BBC One. And the first programme in the two part series 'Mind over Marathon' is on BBC One tomorrow night.

    The Lego daffodils in Hull city centre which were sold off yesterday raised more than £5,000 for charity.

    People queued for hours to get one of the flowers which were on display in King Edward Square as part of the City of Culture celebrations.

    They were given away to nearly 2,000 people in exchange for a donation to charity.
