    There are calls to overturn a decision and grant a Hull mural listed status.

    A proposal was rejected last year to protect the Three Ships mural by Alan Boyson which has been on the front of the former BHS building since 1963.

    The Grade II listing would have given it greater protection under planning law in an area which is facing huge redevelopment.

    Historic England has told BBC Radio Humberside that the mural wasn't given listed status as it 'falls short of the high bar for listing post-war public art' but the organisation hopes it will remain a part of the city's streetscape.

    A teenage girl who went missing in North East Lincolnshire has been found safe and well. 

    Lifeboat crews and police were called out on monday night in Cleethorpes to look for 15-year-old Jordan Petty. 

    Police have now issued an update saying she's been found and they have thanked people who shared the appeal when she went missing.

    The lock gates at Hull Marina have now been fixed after two weeks of closure.

    Boats hadn't been able to leave or enter the marina. 

    It's means the Archbishop of York will be able to arrive by boat to attend a service on Saturday when mean Holy Trinity Church becomes Hull Minster.

    The M180 is nearly at the top of a list of Britain's roads with the most lucrative speed cameras.

    The report was collated by insurers after Freedom of Information requests were submitted to Britain's biggest police forces. 

    The report says the M180 near Scunthorpe brought in almost £584,000 in 2015.

    Over £2m is being spent by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council on improving the area's roads.

    Around 15,000 tonnes of stone chippings will be laid on around 650,000 square metres of roads.

    Now 160 sites will be re-surfaced across the East Riding of Yorkshire.

    The church is undergoing a multi-million pound facelift.

    A woman from Hull has been reunited with one of the Good Samaritans who came to her aid when she had a seizure while driving.

    Sarah Garlick (on the right) has no memory of the accident and says it could have been much worse if nobody had stopped to help.

    Kim Pythian (on the left) helped make the car safe and stayed with Sarah until paramedics arrived.

  17. Police search river at Stamford Bridge for missing womanpublished at 14:09 British Summer Time 10 May 2017

    Police are searching parts of the River Derwent at Stamford Bridge after reports of a woman being seen in the water.

    The police helicopter was used in part of the search on Wednesday after officers were told of a missing 80-year-old woman.

    Humberside Police said an extensive search of the area has been conducted but there is no sign of the missing woman.

    Officers are appealing for any information about the incident to contact them.

    Half a million pounds is being invested in schools in North East Lincolnshire by an academy trust. 

    Tollbar investing £50,000

    Tollbar Multi Academy Trust is investing the money into Reynolds Academy in Cleethorpes where a new classroom is being built and Tollbar sixth form college in New Waltham.

    The trust says the money is being invested because student numbers are growing.
