    A row about buskers' rights has blown up in Hull. Jonny Walker from Leeds says police were called when he performed near the poppy installation in Queen Victoria Square.

    Hull City Council says buskers are encouraged but that Mr Walker was disrespectful to play in an area temporarily set aside for quiet reflection.

    The van, which was stolen in the early hours of Wednesday 26 April, is a cream-coloured Ford Transit van with "French's" written on the side.

    They're staying at 39 de Grey Street to raise money for a girl from Hornsea who has cerebral palsy.

    The group of 10 from Willow Garth who look after people with long-term illness and special needs are going in to the house this evening.

    Shrewsbury Town's manager, Paul Hurst, is thought to be looking at full back Zak Mills and goalkeeper James McKeown - both from his former club, Grimsby.

    However, the Town may have scuppered their chances of signing anyone from Grimsby, after taking Hurst and his assistant Chris Doig from the League Two side back in October. 

    Hurst is keeping quiet about the player speculation, but insists the relationship between the clubs is a good one.

    There are concerns there will be a serious accident before more is done to stop speeding drivers in Sewerby.

    Residents have launched a petition to get more speed cameras in the East Yorkshire village, after a survey revealed more than half the vehicles travelling down the main roads are breaking the 20 mph speed limit.  

    The East Riding of Yorkshire Council says a speed survey in 2015 demonstrated that the majority of drivers were breaking the 20mph speed limit, Sewerby has a good road safety record and does not warrant further traffic calming measures.

    Neighbours of a child sex abuser in Hull who first raised concerns about his behaviour seven years ago say they're relieved he's finally been sentenced for his crimes. 

    This week the 64-year-old, who was also a foster carer, was jailed for 19 years. 

    People who lived next door recorded noises from the house after they became suspicious.

    These are the words of one the neighbours voiced by an actor in order to protect the identities of the victims.
