    Last year Scunthorpe United headed out to Austria for a training camp - and the club's just confirmed they will do the same again.

    The players and staff will base themselves in Obertraun, south-west of Salzburg for a week from Saturday 15 July.

    The Iron also have pre-season matches lines up against York City at Bootham Crescent on Wednesday, 12 July, and will take a trip to Kenilworth Road to play Luton Town won Saturday, 29 July.

  7. Witness appeal after A614 accidentpublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 31 May 2017

    A man has suffered serious injuries after he was trapped in the vehicle after a crash on the A614 near Howden.

    The driver was trapped in his car and had to be rescued by the Fire Service and taken to Hull Royal Infirmary by air ambulance.

    The incident happened on Friday 26 May and police are appealing for witnesses, external.

  8. Police renew appeal to find missing Hull womanpublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 31 May 2017

    Humberside Police have issued a further appeal to find missing 49-year-old Renata Antczak.

    She was last seen on Tuesday 25 April on CCTV dropping her daughter off at Broadacre Primary School in Hull.

    The police say Renata took her daughter to school in a black Mercedes car with registration WF13PCX (pictured).

    They are asking anyone with information to get in touch, external and say Renata's movements on that day may well hold the key to her whereabouts now.

  9. 500 sign online petition opposing proposed Bridlington coach parkpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time 31 May 2017

    A petition against plans for a new coach park in Bridlington has attracted hundreds of signatures.

    Now 500 people have signed the online version of a petition and lots more have been collected from door-to-door calls by campaigners.

  10. Hull summer festival to feature replica Noah's Arkpublished at 15:30 British Summer Time 31 May 2017

    A free family festival is set to take place in Hull this summer.

    It will be held at Hull Minster and Trinity Square and will feature performances of a series of tales including a mystery play based on the story of Noah along with a replica 24-foot ark.

    Organisers say the play will have a "panto-style" approach to audience engagement where there will be a roll for everybody.

    The festival is being held on 24 June and will be free.

    New fountains in the centre of Hull are proving so popular with families during half term that many people are laying out towels to enjoy the area in Queen Victoria Square.

    Some children have even been turning up in their swimming costumes.

    Hull City Council says the 77 jets are designed as a public attraction, and City of Culture Director Martin Green has described the feature as terrific and a legacy for the city.

    A guide dog from Hull that can sense when her owner is about to have an epileptic seizure, has been recognised with a national award.

    Even though she's had no extra training, Darcy the guide dog is able to help her owner Dianne manage her diabetes and epilepsy by sensing when her blood sugar levels are low or when a seizure is imminent.

    She won the Beyond the Call of Duty Award at the Guide Dogs Annual Awards in London earlier this month.

    Dianne says she relies on Darcy to keep her safe.

  13. Yorkshire Energy Park 'threat to Hedon and wildlife', say objectorspublished at 14:18 British Summer Time 31 May 2017

    Plans for a £200m business energy park would be "a threat" to local people and wildlife,campaigners have said.

    Proposals for the Yorkshire Energy Park, earmarked for a former aerodrome field in Hedon, near Hull, include a data centre, education campus and a power station supplying energy to the site.

    An outline planning application has been submitted to East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

    But the Say No To Yorkshire Energy Park group, external said there were concerns of increased traffic, noise and pollution.

    Developers Sewell Group said the scheme, which it believes could create more than 1,000 jobs and boost the local economy by £600m, had received "positive feedback" during a public consultation.

    An 8ft sculpture celebrating Hull music legend Mick Ronson is to be unveiled later this week in the park where he worked.

    Before becoming a global musical star Mick Ronson worked for Hull Parks and Gardens and tended to East Park and Queens Gardens.

    A former East Riding priest has appeared in court charged with historical sex offences.

    Terence Grigg, 83, had been a minister at St Mary's Church in Cottingham.

    He's charged with nine counts of indecent assault and two counts of serious sexual offences against five boys and young men between 1973 and 1996 in Hull, Cottingham, Devon and London.

    At court he spoke only to confirm his name, age and address and was bailed to appear at Hull Crown Court on 28 June.

    A charity in Hull has been given more than £270,000 to help improve the city's St Andrew's Ward.

    The money from the Big Lottery Fund will be used by the organisation "Groundwork" to develop better green spaces and help encourage local people to think greener.

    The group says the area is one of the most deprived in the country and has a particularly bad litter and fly-tipping problem.

    A new map celebrating Hull's history is being produced by the University of Hull and the Historic Towns Trust.

    It tells the story of the city’s making and will show in detail how the city looked at the height of its maritime, commercial and industrial importance.

    The map is being unveiled today at the University of Hull.

    It is hoped Bridlington's Tidal Waves music festival will be able to build on the success of Radio 1's Big Weekend in Hull.

    Home-grown stars Sea Fret will be headlining when the event comes to Bridlington's sea front next month.

    The Hoosiers and Toploader will also be playing the festival.
