Taylor was part of the Hull FC team which beat Wigan in the Challenge Cup final in August.

This year's World Cup will be held in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea from the end of October.

Joint hosts Australia are the holders following a dominant 34-2 victory over New Zealand at Old Trafford in 2013, crowning them world champions for a record 10th time.

Selecting the final 24 with the help of my coaching staff was tough and that was down to the effort and performances of many players throughout the season."

  2. Residents' fears over Beverley sheltered accommodation warden planspublished at 12:31 British Summer Time 9 October 2017

    Caroline Bilton
    BBC Look North

Some residents of sheltered accommodation in East Yorkshire say they're angry about plans to get rid of housing wardens.

Residents are upset with the plans

The wardens would be replaced with a helpline service which will let residents live independently, according to East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

People living in Shopeth Way, in Woodmansey, near Beverley, say they're concerned that removing the wardens will take away people's only daily contact with the outside world.

George McManus, from the local Labour group, says he wants answers:

    Quote Message

One of the things that concerns me is that East Riding Council are clearly looking at potential savings. You wouldn't be expected to go from 47 to 11 wardens and not make a cost saving."

The stadium management company had recently locked the gate, which gives access to the KCOM Stadium from Argyll Street, for health and safety reasons.

At a meeting on Saturday evening, it was agreed the gate will remain open in the evenings while Hull Fair - which attracts hundreds of thousands people - is held nearby.

The week-long East Yorkshire fair dates back to the 13th century and is one of Europe's largest travelling funfairs.

It follows complaints from people who live nearby who say they're no longer reporting crimes because the police don't do enough.

One couple has told the BBC they've been targeted by burglars more than 40 times in the past four decades.

Police say they've increased patrols in the area.

Supt Dave Hall says: "We want to give reassurance to local residents that we will continue our investigations into such crimes."

  6. Concerns over plans to remove housing wardenspublished at 09:54 British Summer Time 9 October 2017

People living in sheltered accommodation near Beverley have expressed their safety concerns over plans to remove housing wardens.

    Shorpeth Way

Some tenants in Shopeth Way in Woodmansey say they believe the proposals are designed to cut costs.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council says the plans tailor support depending on people's individual needs and will make more of the resources they have available.

The council is currently consulting on the proposals, which could see a centralised lifeline service replace some of the wardens across the county.
