The decision was made by the North Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust who say the move is partly due to staff shortages.

The message from the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospital Trust comes during international fraud awareness week.

  13. Janet Alder: Police facing misconduct hearings are 'scapegoats'published at 17:20 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2017

    BBC Look North
    East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire

The sister of a former paratrooper who died in custody has responded to news of police misconduct hearings in connection with the case.

Janet Alder, the sister of Christopher, who died in police custody in Hull in 1998 has spoken about today's announcement that two police officers will face gross misconduct hearings over the surveillance she was under.

    Janet Alder

In an interview with BBC Look North Janet said there were still a lot of unanswered questions about why police officers carried out surveillance on her during her brother's inquest.

Ms Alder said it would have taken more than two police officers to carry out a surveillance operation and that she believes the two who have been identified have been made into scapegoats.

Ms Alder went on to say she thinks she was spied on by the police because she was asking difficult questions about her brother's death.

    Quote Message

This caused me a lot of trauma and paranoia. Now it has come out I would like to know why exactly they were following me."

Prime Minister Theresa May has confirmed that the Red Arrows Jets won't need replacing until 2030, despite calls to bring forward the order and help protect jobs at BAE Systems.

    Red Arrows

Earlier this month BAE Sytems announced 2,000 posts were to go, with 400 being lost at the Brough site.

The Brough factory makes components for the T1 Hawk training jet, the same as ones used by the Red Arrows.

In a letter to Diana Johnson MP and Andrew Percy MP, the Prime Minister says that UK manufacturing remains a priority for the government.

Theresa May also says that the government is committed to supporting all those affected, but that a decision on replacing the Red Arrows is not needed for many years to come.

    Diana Princess of Wales hospital

The Northern Lincolnshire and Goole (NLAG) hospitals trust is moving some cancer treatments to Castle Hill hospital in Cottingham.

It's because they haven't got enough consultants in haematology.

The chief executive of NLAG, Richard Sunley, says the service has been fragile.

    Quote Message

With annual leave and sickness taken into account its a fragile service. Now one of the two consultants has handed in their notice. On that basis we are not able to continue running the service with just one consultant."

Earlier this year the anaerobic digester was rejected.

The applicant John Bird of F. D. Bird and Sons says the proposed digester would be built in a quarry and wouldn't be seen from the nearby villages or road. It would also use the latest technology and create jobs.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council says it's changed the way it publicises planning applications and encourages people to register online to get updates via email.

Local Richard Thompson says they were told they would be informed

    Quote Message

When the original plans were turned down, I was assured by planners that anyone who had contacted them would be notified in writing if there was a re-application. That hasn't happened. There were in excess of 1,000 objection letters and nobody has been contacted by the council."
