    Police in West Yorkshire are asking for information about the whereabouts of Mantas Eriminas who is wanted on warrant.

    Officers say they have been looking for the 32-year-old Lithuanian for some time.

    Although he used to live in Horbury, Wakefield, officers believe he may recently have been living in Hull.

    Anyone who has any information about his location is being asked to contact police.

    Armed police blocked off a street in Hull while they carried out a raid on a house earlier.

    Officers and sniffer dogs were seen going into a house on Rustenberg Street.

    It was a pre-planned operation and a man has been arrested on suspicion of assault, according to Humberside Police.

    Officers remain at the scene as enquires continue.

    Money will be available to help staff after the closure of Eggborough Power Station, which was announced earlier today, it's being promised.

    The power station, near Goole, will shut down before the end of this year with its owners saying it's no longer "economically viable".

    The York, North Yorkshire and East Riding Enterprise Partnership, external, which brings together public and private sector organisations, says European Social Funds already allocated to the region will be used.

    In a statement, the partnership says: "Our area's historic specialism in energy generation has left a legacy of energy infrastructure and a skilled workforce that will continue to underpin our economy in the years to come.

    "This will not be the end of energy generation in our area," it adds.

    The owners of 18 static caravans at The Sycamores caravan park at Barmby Moor in East Yorkshire are facing possible eviction.

    An investigation by The East Riding of Yorkshire Council has shown they are living on the park all year round which is in breach of planning conditions.

    The council has told them to stop living at the park permanently and has put those affected in touch with its housing services to help them find alternative accommodation.

    A teenager who admitted stabbing a support worker at a North Lincolnshire school is due to be sentenced later.

    A 16-year-old girl pleaded guilty to one charge of wounding with intent and of possessing a blade.

    A woman has appeared in court charged with the murder of 80-year-old James Fish, whose body was found in a North East Lincolnshire village earlier this week.

    Mr Fish, known to his family as Eddy, was discovered at a house on Grimsby Road in Waltham on Monday.

    Rachael Flemington, 28, of Manor Drive, Waltham, was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Hull Crown Court on Monday.

    Eggborough coal-fired power plant is to close, as it has ceased "to be economically viable to continue operations", the owners said.

    The plant near Selby, employs more than 250 people, and has been threatened with closure for the last few years.

    The move follows the plant's failure to secure funding for 2018-2019.

    In a statement Eggborough Power Limited said it would meet its obligations under its current capacity market contract, which runs through to the end of September 2018.

    But without a contract for future years it "will cease to be economically viable to continue operations at the station" which supplies 5% of the power in the UK, equivalent to powering around two million homes.

    An East Yorkshire teenager who had a stroke at just 17 wants to raise awareness of her condition.

    Izzy Hirst from Anlaby had a stroke in December as a result of undiagnosed colitis, which left her paralysed down one side.

    She now wants to raise money for those who've helped her, and awareness, external that a stroke can happen at any age:

    A crackdown on rogue parking wardens put forward by East Yorkshire MP Sir Greg Knight will be discussed in Parliament again today.

    Around 10,000 people approached Citizens Advice last year for advice over parking fines they believed were issued unfairly.

    Sir Greg says some parking firms are ignoring the current voluntary code of practice so the only option is to make it legally enforceable:
