    A replica of the plane which pioneering aviator Amy Johnson flew to Australia moves to its new home in Hull today.

    Johnson was born in Hull in 1903 and in 1930 she flew the original plane from London to Darwin in 19 days.

    The Gipsy Moth replica had been hanging in Hull railway station.

    It was built by prisoners at HMP Hull as part of the City of Culture celebrations and will now be on display at the city's St Stephen's shopping centre.

    Police are appealing for information on Shannon Cottrell (pictured below), aged 16, who has not been seen since yesterday.

    Shannon was last seen in Northampton town centre last night but it's believed she could have travelled to East Yorkshire as she has ties to the Hull area.

    It's thought she could also be trying to get to Doncaster.

    Officers say they're concerned for her safety.

    This weekend's Humber Bridge Farmers' Market has been postponed.

    It's due to the ground conditions caused by the current extreme weather.

    The market, which offers up to 160 stalls and attracts thousands of people, takes place in the Humber Bridge car park once a month.

    The next date will be Easter Sunday on April 1.

    Engineering giant Siemens has chosen a site in East Yorkshire which could become home to their first ever train works in the UK creating hundreds of jobs.

    The company has now revealed plans to build a new factory in Goole but this be will dependent on whether the it can secure future contracts.

    Plans for people across North Lincolnshire to do their bit for Keep Britain Tidy's Big Spring Clean have been hit by the snow, events had been planned across the county for the next three days.

    Humberside Fire and Rescue say they have been dealing with fallen roof tiles and signs in Bridlington through the night because of the strong winds.

    If you're catching a train in Lincolnshire this morning the bad weather is affecting some of the lines.

    East Midlands Trains are suspended between Sleaford and Skegness, and Lincoln Central and Grimsby Town.

    Northern has put on a replacement nus service between Cleethorpes and Barton-on-Humber.

    As for buses, Stagecoach East Midlands have been forced to cancel all of their rural services until further notice.

    More than 30 schools are still closed across the East Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire.

    There is also a flood warning in place along the Humber.

    The Environment Agency says flooding is expected on the north bank west of Hull for the high tide until 08:30.

    It says areas at risk include the Riverside Quay and St Andrew's Quay.

    There are flood alerts in place along the east coast at Bridlington, Hornsea, Withernsea, Kilnsea and Immingham.
