Nineties children's TV favourites the Chuckle Brothers have been announced as the stars of this year's pantomime at Hull New Theatre.
Barry and Paul Chuckle are known to generations for their children's TV show Chucklevision.
They will on stage in the city in December starring as brothers Buttons and Zip, in a pantomime production of Cinderella.
Hull FC have announced plans to mark the 50th anniversary of one of the worst disasters in the city's fishing heritage, with a minute's applause.
A total of 58 men were lost in the Triple Trawler Tragedy, when three fishing vessels sank within weeks of each other in 1968.
The disaster led to a campaign by a group of women known as the 'Headscarf Revolutionaries,' who campaigned for better safety and working conditions for trawler men.
Hull FC will celebrate its connection with the fishing industry during Friday's match against Warrington.

Women who suffer a miscarriage in the early stages of pregnancy in Hull and East Yorkshire will now be offered a scan picture of their baby to keep.
Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust says the ultrasound images will be offered to help women cope with the loss of their child.
Chief medical officer Kevin Phillips, a consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology, said:

The Hull-based MEP for Yorkshire and the Humber Mike Hookem has been appointed deputy leader of UKIP.
Mr Hookem, who joined the party 10 years ago, was appointed by the current interim leader Gerard Batten.
There has been movement within the party since former leader Henry Bolton was sacked a few weeks ago.
A project to get more children playing out on the street is being started in Hull.
People would be allowed to apply to get their roads closed for up to three hours under the "Playing Out" programme, to allow children to play safely on the street.
The majority of people living in a street would have to agree to the road closure and the events would be marshalled by volunteers.
The idea originated in Bristol and similar schemes have been run in other parts of the country.
Three people have been injured after being hit by a car in Beverley.
Humberside Police say the three pedestrians were taken to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries, following the incident on Minster Way at 09:20.
The road is currently closed and officers say it will be shut until further notice.
The amount of money spent on transport in the north of England will be debated in Parliament today.
The Hull North Labour MP Diana Johnson has secured the debate, claiming that funding for rail and road infrastructure in the north is much less than London and the South East.
The Department for Transport said it is carrying out the biggest investment in transport for the north of England to help build the Northern Powerhouse and deliver improved journeys for passengers.
Marks and Spencer has confirmed that its store in Bridlington store will close in April.
Last month the retailer announced that it was planning on closing 14 stores, following disappointing Christmas sales.
M&S says 40 members of staff at the Bridlington store will be offered positions at other shops, once it closes on 21 April.
Police are investigating what they are describing as a "serious incident" in part of Hull.
There has been a large police presence at Milldane, off Hall Road, in the Orchard Park area.
Police have given no further information so far.

Parts of Yorkshire have seen the first real dumping of snow over the last 24 hours.
With the temperatures forecast to drop even further, here are some handy hints for driving in snow and ice from Highways England:
Police looking for two men who indecently assaulted a teenager at a bus stop in Hull.
Officers say the 18-year-old woman was waiting at the stop on Bude Road near to John Newton Way on the evening of Wednesday 14 February, when the two men made lewd comments and indecently assaulted her.
Anyone with information is being asked to call 101.
Staff at a nursery in North Lincolnshire which was destroyed by fire say they have been overwhelmed with donations and offers of support.
Burton Play, in Burton upon Stather, near Scunthorpe, was badly damaged in the fire on Sunday morning.
A fundraising page has been set up to support the playgroup and organisers say they are working hard to find a temporary base so it can reopen.
More than 1,400 homes in Withernsea are without power this morning.
Northern Powergrid says it's aware of the issue and is working to restore power by 13:30.
It says the power cut has been caused by an unexpected problem with the cables or equipment that serves the area.
A couple of schools are closed in our region so far today because of the snow.
