    Police are hunting three masked men who attacked a couple in their Grimsby home - leaving a man with head injuries.

    Humberside Police say four men wearing black and white masks threatened the couple at their home in Donnington Street at around 19:00 on Tuesday 9 March and assaulted the man.

    It's thought they made off in a red Audi car.

    Officers say they have arrested one man in connection with the incident, but are searching for three more.

    Anyone with information is asked to call 101.

    Two of Hull's MPs are to meet with members of the Chamber of Commerce, over plans to increase journey times on the Hull to Manchester train service.

    Transpeninne Express wants to add an extra four stops onto the Hull to Manchester route from May.

    The train company says it would only add a few minutes extra onto journey times and enhance the service, but the MP's say it's effectively a downgrading of services for Hull passengers.

    The MPs Diana Johnson and Emma Hardy are calling for the company to rethink the plans.

    A recycling plant in North Lincolnshire is due to reopen after being shut for more than a year.

    The waste transfer station on Midland Road in Scunthorpe, closed just a month after opening, when the company running it went in to administration in October 2016.

    North Lincolnshire Council has confirmed that a new contractor has taken over the site, which collects household waste before taking it to be recycled elsewhere.

    The authority says it could stop 90% of general household waste from going to landfill and could save £84,000 next year.

    The Job Centre in Hull City Centre will re-open today after being evacuated yesterday.

    Britannia House was shut following a gas leak.

    People with appointments were being advised to stay away, but the centre will be back open today.

    Hull is hoping to become a new home for Channel 4.

    The broadcaster is planning to move 300 jobs out of London to a new headquarters and two smaller creative hubs.

    Hull City Council says it will bid to be one of the new locations, alongside other cities including Leeds, Liverpool and Glasgow.

    A decision is expected later this year.

    There are fears that President Donald Trump's decision to impose tariffs on steel and aluminium imports to the US could hit the steel industry in Scunthorpe.

    Tariffs of 25% are to be placed on steel and 10% on aluminium imported into the US.

    The MP for Scunthorpe Nic Dakin says the move has the potential to push the UK steel industry back in to crisis and has called on the government to act:

    The singer-songwriter George Ezra will be one of the first big names to play the new Hull Venue.

    The former BHS store in Grimsby is going to be taken over by a discount retailer.

    Poundland has confirmed that it will opening in the shop on Victoria Street, which has been empty since the closure of BHS two years ago.

    The discount store will move from its current shop in Freshney Place alongside discount fashion chain PEP&Co.

    Teams of volunteers will be out on the beaches of the East Yorkshire coast today to clear up rubbish washed up after last week's stormy weather.

    A replica of the plane which pioneering aviator Amy Johnson flew to Australia is back on display in Hull.

    The model of the aircraft, called 'Jason,' had been hanging at Hull's Paragon Interchange, but has now been moved to St Stephen's shopping centre.

    The replica was built by prisoners at HMP Hull as part of the City of Culture celebrations and there had been plans to move it to the Yorkshire Air Museum, but campaigners fought to keep it in the city.

    Shoppers at St Stephen's will be able to see it on the ground today before it's lifted in to place this evening.

    Ramps with a 20mph limit will be put in place while the work to replace expansion joints is carried out.
