    Workers are due to return to their roles tomorrow, but say they are willing to take more action if they aren't happy with the outcome.

    There are concerns a potential new steel tariff, put forward by the US President Donald Trump could have an impact on the industry in Scunthorpe.

    The European Commission is meeting today to discuss a response to Mr Trump's proposals of a 25% tariff on imported steel, along with a 10% tariff on aluminium.

    The Scunthorpe MP Nic Dakin is calling on the government to put British businesses first and says the proposals also pose the risk of a "trade war".

    The auction at Pleasure Island in Cleethorpes has been stopped because the website connection has failed.

    The theme park closed a year ago and everything that's left is being sold off.

    Some of the things being put under the hammer include a giant water slide and a carousel which is expected to fetch around £180k.

    Trophies for this year's Tour de Yorkshire are setting off on their own tour next week.

    They'll be visiting each of the tour's eight start and finish towns - Beverley, Doncaster, Barnsley, Ilkley, Richmond, Scarborough, Halifax and Leeds - as they follow the route of the tour.

    They've been made by hand by Thomas Fattorini Ltd, founded in 1827 by Antonio Fattorini, an Italian speaking immigrant who settled in Yorkshire.

    The business designed and made the FA Cup in 1911, which Bradford City won that year.

    The 2018 race has been extended to four days and will be held from 3 to 6 May.

    Rides from a former North Lincolnshire theme park will go for auction today.

    More than a year ago Pleasure Island theme park in Cleethorpes closed its doors for the final time and today everything that's left is being auctioned off.

    Police now say that a fire at Appleby and Frodingham, external Cricket Club was an arson attack.

    The fire was started at the club on Brumby Wood Lane on 25 February after a break-in at around 16:00.

    Police are appealing for witnesses.

    The Fawcett Society says 64% of women of all ages have experienced unwanted sexual harassment in public places.

    The Grimsby MP has secured a debate in Parliament today calling for misogyny to be made a hate crime.

    The Humber is the UK's busiest trading estuary but the maritime industry is struggling to recruit people for jobs as harbourmasters, pilots and dock managers.

    Nationally there's been a sharp fall in the number of people starting apprenticeships, but in the Humber area, port operator ABP says they're helping to fast-track new recruits.

    The Humber handles 40% of all the UK's sea born trade but it's a sector that has a poor visibility in schools when it comes to marine careers.

    Bespoke marine apprenticeships aim to bridge the gap, training future marine pilots and dock masters.

    ABP say future job prospects of the marine and pilot apprentices are huge.

    The amount of government funding for maritime training has been doubled as sea born trading continues to grow.

    The Chief Executive of the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, Rob Stonehouse says most people think the North Sea is polluted and has no marine life in it.

    He says the recent mass stranding on the East Yorkshire Coast has shown just how diverse the marine life in the North Sea is and wants to see more done now to protect some parts of it, so that it can re-stock itself.

    More staff at the University of Hull could take industrial action over changes to their pensions.

    Members of the public sector worker's union Unison have voted in favour of action, which could include going on strike.

    The union, which represents staff such as library assistants and porters, says about 400 people at the university could lose thousands of pounds a year when they retire.

    Lecturers are already striking over pension changes.

    Fishermen on the east coast of Yorkshire have returned two tonnes of juvenile lobsters to the sea after they were stranded due to the strong winds last week.

    It's hoped they will be returned to the sea tomorrow, after recovering for 48 hours in tanks at Bridlington harbour.

    Details of a proposed £3.75bn devolution deal have been submitted to the government by the leaders of 18 of Yorkshire's 20 councils.

    The "One Yorkshire" bid outlines plans for a £125m-a-year, 30-year-deal and a directly-elected mayor for Yorkshire to be voted in by 2020.

    The 10-page document has been submitted to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government for consideration.

    A government spokesman said it "welcomed discussions" on the proposal.
