    Body cameras are being given to council traffic wardens in the East Riding.

    The council, external said the equipment will allow staff to record incidents where they are threatened by a member of the public.

    More than 120 cases of aggressive behaviour have taken place against traffic wardens in the area, including officers being spat at and shot with a ball bearing gun.

    Public Health England, external is advising people in northern Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire to get a measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) jab, if they've not already had two doses of the vaccine.

    It follows reports of hundreds of cases in England and a number of outbreaks in Europe.

    Experts warn measles can sometimes lead to serious complications, and in rare cases, can be fatal.

    A new work of art by the so-called Hull Banksy has appeared in the Fruit Market area of the city.

    Preg, the artist behind it, is well-known for another Hull mural.

    That one depicts a Mary Poppins style character, clutching a drone instead of an umbrella, and carrying a supermarket shopping bag instead of a carpet bag.

    Preg said the idea started as a bit of a joke for Hull's year as UK City of Culture in 2017.

    A collection of vintage and classic vehicles will be on display at Sewerby Hall and Gardens this Sunday.

    The East Coast rail franchise could be scrapped this week, it's being claimed.

    Transport Secretary Chris Grayling is due to announce who will operate trains on the line after Virgin Trains East Coast reported a loss from the route.

    The Financial Times reported that a decision "is expected before the end of the week", after the deal - which was supposed to last until 2023 - was cut short.

    Mr Grayling previously said he will either put the franchise into public control through an operator of last resort or negotiate a short-term deal with the incumbent.

    Police are looking for three teenagers in connection with an assault in Bridlington.

    Officers say they received reports three individuals were involved in an altercation with another man, who'd allegedly been causing damage to a caravan.

    The incident happened on Saturday 5 May and the man has since been arrested.

    Officers say the youths are male and aged between 14 and 17.

    Traffic congestion near a Hull recycling centre is due to a cut in its opening hours, according to local businesses.

    Hull City Council, external decided last year to close the tip on the Sutton Fields industrial estate for two days a week to help save money.

    Local traders say that has meant seriously congested roads when the centre is open which impacts on their businesses.

    The council said it is aware of the issue and is looking to see what can be done to improve traffic flow.

    Parents who lose a child at birth are to be offered special cold cots to enable them to spend time with their baby at home ahead of a funeral.

    The new portable cold cots have cold plates, which can be fitted inside a Moses basket, allowing families to leave hospital with their baby.

    Scunthorpe Market is to move to the town's old BHS building after getting the official go-ahead from the town's council.

    The new market is expected to open early in 2019 as part of a £60m redevelopment, while the old site will be demolished.

    Thousands of market traders had previously signed a petition asking the local authority to stop the move.

    The government's promising to do all it can to find a solution to the cash crisis affecting Hull College Group.

    The organisation, which runs colleges in Hull, Goole and Harrogate, has started a restructuring plan to deal with a £10m deficit which could see the loss of about 230 jobs.

    Education Minister Anne Milton promised the government was working closely with Hull College to find a "sustainable solution".

    Her comment comes after Emma Hardy, Labour MP for Hull West and Hessle, told the Commons that staff needed to know what was going on.
