    There could be more badger culls in England as the government steps up action to tackle outbreaks of bovine TB in cattle.

    The Environment Minister, George Eustice, says badger control measures can now take place in the so-called Low Risk Area, external, which includes large parts of northern and eastern England.

    Permission will only be given in "very exceptional circumstances".

    The government said that would be when an area is judged to meet the criteria for a bovine TB 'hotspot'.

    A couple have been found guilty of the manslaughter of a homeless man who died following an attack on a Grimsby street.

    Anthony Richardson, 45, died in hospital after he was assaulted outside the Halifax Bank in Old Market Place on 15 January.

    Marc Finnie, 44, and his wife Sarah, 36, of Sutcliffe Avenue, Grimsby, will be sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday.

    A 35-year-old man was found not guilty of assisting an offender.

    The bomb disposal unit have been called to Snaith.

    Humberside Police say they were called to the High Street just before 11:30 to reports of an unidentified explosive device within a property.

    They add they're working with officers from the bomb squad to establish if the device is dangerous and to ensure public safety.

    A police cordon is in place around the Ramsey Row end of the High Street.

    Have you seen William O'Boyle? He's been missing from Grimsby since early this month and police say they're increasingly concerned for his welfare.

    The 39-year-old was last seen on Freeman Street in Grimsby and hasn't contacted his family and friends since he went missing.

    Mr O'Boyle is described as white, about 5ft 11ins tall, of slim build with dark brown hair.

    Scrap metal is the latest method being used to help raise funds for cash-strapped schools in North Lincolnshire.

    Mark Ogilvie has put a skip in his garden and persuaded his neighbours to dump their scrap metal in it.

    He has raised over £2,500 for Goxhill Primary School and East Halton Primary School in just over a year.

    The schools have spent the money on nine laptops and three canvas shelters so classes can be held outside.

    People living in North East Lincolnshire are being told not to leave their wheelie bins out too long.

    North East Lincolnshire Council is sending warning letters as a deterrent in a bid to make the region tidier.

    Neil Clark, from the council, says about 400 warning letters have been issued so far.

    "We're really pleased that we've already seen a positive improvement across the borough," he says.
