    Google has teamed up with industry groups to help market traders launch websites and social media profiles.

    A petition to reintroduce a direct rail service between Grimsby and London has been started.

    Claire McAulay from Grimsby and who's behind the petition, had previously tried to approach Virgin Trains about the possibility, but says she was told by the operator it "can't be done".

    Ms McAulay's proposing to extend the direct line from London to Lincoln to cover Grimsby Town station.

    Broadcaster Channel 4 is set to reveal later if Hull has made the shortlist for its new regional headquarters.

    The city's in the running along with more than a dozen other cities including Sheffield, Leeds, Cardiff, Glasgow, Bristol, Newcastle and the current favourite Birmingham.

    The move will see about 300 of the broadcaster's 800 employers moved out of London to the new regional base, while two smaller regional production hubs are also planned.

    Channel 4 officially opened the bidding in April and the move will be part of plans to put an extra £250m into its nations and regions spend by 2023.

    An e-fit has been released of a man Humberside police want to speak to in relation to an alleged rape in Anlaby.

    The incident is reported to have happened near to the leisure centre on Springfield Way on 16 June 2017.

    The suspect is described as being in his mid to late teens, slim, between 5 feet 10 and 6 feet tall, with curly brown/blonde hair and a distinctive ‘stretcher’ earring.

    Police say they're growing concerned for the safety of a woman who's been missing from her Lincolnshire home since last Thursday.

    Natalie Flannagan, who's 24, was last seen in Scotter, north of Gainsborough, and was wearing a black jacket with white writing on the front and blue jeans.

    Police believe she may be in the Scunthorpe area.

    Police are looking for three men who used a van to break into a garage in Hull.

    The incident happened on Moorhouse Road in Hull at about 16:00 on 22 May.

    It's believed a green Citroen Berlingo Combi was used to ram the garage door.

    The three suspects were all described as wearing dark clothes and balaclavas.

    A number of tools and a hoover were stolen from the garage.

    Two men have sustained serious facial injuries after they were attacked by a group of up to ten youths in East Hull.

    The incident happened at around 22:30 on Sunday 27 May at a takeaway on Elmbridge Parade.

    The offenders left and headed towards Preston Road following the attack.

    Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

    British number one Kyle Edmund reached the French Open second round for the fourth successive year with an opening win against Australian Alex de Minaur.

    Edmund from Beverley, who is seeded at a Grand Slam for the first time, won 6-4 6-2 6-3 at Roland Garros.

    De Minaur, 19, is considered a rising star of Australian tennis, but could not cope with Edmund's accuracy and power.

    Police are searching for a man and woman after a 71-year-old woman had her handbag stolen while at a supermarket in Bridlington.

    A CCTV image has been released of the female suspect.

    The incident happened at 13:00 in the Morrisons supermarket on Bessingby Way on 20 May.

    The man spoke to the victim for a few minutes and while he was distracting her the woman stole her handbag and left the store.

    Yorkshire bowler David Willey could make his first appearance of the season tomorrow after being named in the squad to face Derbyshire in the One Day Cup.

    The company said it has encountered substantial operating losses and the Hull site could close by spring of next year.

    The government needs to do more to help local councils tackle obesity among children, according to the Local Government Association (LGA).

    One in 25 primary school pupils, aged 10 to 11, in England is severely obese.

    In Hull over 5% of year six children are classed as obese - higher than the national average of 4%.

    The LGA says there are things the government could do immediately to help reduce the numbers.

    Police are looking for two men after a woman was robbed in Hull earlier this month.

    The incident happened at about 22:00 on 19 May when a 22-year-old woman was approached by two men from behind.

    One of the men emptied the victim's handbag, taking keys and a bank card.

    Both suspects have been described as black and in their late 20s to early 30s.

    One was about 6ft tall, stocky with short hair and stubble.

    The other was about 5ft 6ins tall, also stocky with an "afro"-style haircut and beard.
