  6. Cleethorpes MP welcomes post-Brexit fishing planspublished at 11:58 British Summer Time 4 July 2018

Government plans to give British fishermen a greater share of the fishing stock when we leave the EU can't come soon enough, according to the Conservative MP for Cleethorpes.

    Grimsby dock

The comments, by Martin Vickers MP, come after the environment secretary Michael Gove said the UK would be in the "driving seat" in quota negotiations once the UK leaves the EU's Common Fisheries Policy.

Mr Gove told the BBC that from 2021 the UK would control fishing access to a 200 nautical mile "exclusive economic zone" around its coastline.

Managing Britain's waters will ensure the country gets a fairer share of fishing opportunities, according to Mr Vickers.

  10. Plans to preserve Hull Banksy revealedpublished at 10:29 British Summer Time 4 July 2018

Hull City Council say it's structurally unsafe and a danger to shipping.

The councils plan to preserve the artwork by removing it from the bridge and relocating it next to the original site.

It is absolutely heartbreaking that we must take this course of action. The council has kept the bridge in place for as long as practically possible, but we have been advised that this is the only way to keep river traffic safe."
