    Thieves destroyed a cash machine and broke into the co-op store.

    It happened in the early hours of this morning, according to police.

    Anyone who saw what happened or has any information about the incident is being asked to contact police.

    Humberside Police is warning people not to misuse the emergency 999 number after a woman called them to report her concern over a horse which "looked sad".

    They also received a call from another woman who wanted police to conduct a lie detector test on her partner, who she thought was cheating on her.

    Supt Tracy Bradley said people should think if their 999 call was "appropriate".

    “We always see an increase in demand when it's sunny," she said.

    Police have named a motorcyclist who died in a crash in north Lincolnshire on Friday.

    Gregory Ross Kelly, 47, from Broughton, was killed in a collision with a farm vehicle on the A1077 at Roxby Causeway near Winterton.

    Humberside Police said it was still appealing for witnesses to the incident.

    Three men have been jailed after a robbery at a jewellery shop in Rotherham earlier this year.

    The three masked men entered the Jewellery Exchange in the town centre on Monday 30 April and threatened a member of staff with a knife and metal bars.

    They stole a "significant" quantity of jewellery thought to be worth about £20,000 before being chased by police in their getaway car.

    At Sheffield Crown Court today, Lyle Copley (left), 22, of Cecil Avenue, Doncaster, was jailed for eight years after pleading guilty to robbery, threatening another with a blade and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

    Shakeel Hussain (centre), 26, of Bridge Close, Airmyn, in East Yorkshire, was jailed for four-and-a-half years for robbery.

    Declan Taylor (right), 21, of Walker Road, Rotherham, was jailed for four-and-a-half years for robbery and for possession of a blade.

    A 15-year-old boy suffered serious injuries in a crash in Grimsby at the weekend.

    He was riding his bike along Cromwell Road at about 17:00 on Sunday when he collided with a black Vauxhall Zafira.

    The boy was taken to Sheffield Children's Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
