  1. Three-year-old boy killed after car hits tree on M62

    A three-year-old boy died when the car he was travelling in collided with a tree on Sunday.

    The black Honda Civic was travelling westbound when it left the M62 near South Cave at about 16:00.

    Three other passengers, a 33-year-old woman, an 11-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy, sustained serious and potentially life-threatening injuries in the collision and the driver suffered minor injuries.

    All of those travelling in the car were from Batley in West Yorkshire.

    About 100,000 people were in Cleethorpes this weekend for the Armed Forces Day celebrations.
