The owner of Eastbourne Pier Sheikh Abid Gulzaro is among those who have submitted bids to buy Hastings Pier.
The charity which ran the Grade II-listed pier went bust last year and administrators tasked real estate company GVA with finding a buyer for the freehold.
Hastings Pier which originally opened in 1872 was almost completely destroyed in a fire in 2010.
GVA said it had received "mulitple bids" for the 280m (919ft) long pier which was restored and reopened to the public in April 2016.
The Friends of Hastings Pier who are seeking to maintain community ownership of the pier have also submitted a bid.

The same man is responsible for a series of muggings in Hastings and St Leonards-on-Sea, in which some of the victims were threatened with a machete, Sussex Police have said.
The robber has also used either a bike or a motorcycle to escape.
On 11 April he struck twice in 20 minutes, robbing two people in Battle Road, St Leonards at 21:30 BST, and then a third person in Stonefield Road, Hastings.
Detectives think at least three more robberies are linked.

A South West MEP has said the man who fought off two burglars at his home in Hither Green in London should be awarded a medal for his "act of bravery".
UKIP's William Dartmouth said Richard Osborn-Brooks, 78, "did not mean to inflict a fatal wound" on one of the intruders.
"What could be braver than a 78-year-old man defending his wife and his home from two burglars who we now know were career criminals?
"I am sure that the public who were outraged at the attack would welcome Mr Osborn-Brooks' bravery being recognised."
It was reported this week that floral tributes and balloons for the burglar who died - 37-year-old Henry Vincent - have been repeatedly attached and then removed from a fence opposite the home where he was killed. Mr Vincent's family said the fence was "the best place" for a tribute.
Mr Osborn-Brooks was initially held on suspicion of murder, but released with no further action.

People living on the outskirts of Dartford may have to travel further to see their GP as six practices are set to move into the town centre.
It is part of a scheme by Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to build three seven-day integrated clinics in the area.
The CCG plans to close the six practices and relocate staff to a "health and wellness campus" at the former Co-op site in Spital Street, to alleviate pressure on Darent Valley Hospital.
The chosen doctors' surgeries have not been disclosed, but there are only two GP surgeries registered in the town centre - Horsman's Place Surgery and Lowfield Medical Centre.
There are three further practices based at the Dartford West Health Centre, meaning both Temple Hill and Pilgrims Way practices on the outskirts could be designated for closure.
Dartford Borough Council will discuss the plans at a cabinet meeting this week.
In the report published ahead of the meeting, the council's strategic director, Sarah Martin, said residents would "benefit from better and more holistic services".
The CCG was placed under special financial measures last year, but has secured a grant of £2.7m from NHS England to fund the joint venture between the local council and Kent County Council.

Plans for a new supermarket and fast food restaurant in Chatham have been approved despite uncertainty over the future of the neighbouring site of a former Toys R Us store.
Medway Council's planning committee had previously postponed a decision on a new 1,430 sq m Aldi and a two-floor 447.5 sq m KFC on Horsted Retail Park amid doubts about what impacts the toy chain's financial problems could have on the scheme, as well as concerns about parking provision.
Applicants Royal London UK Real Estate Fund said although 177 parking spaces would be lost as a result of the project, the supermarket would still have around 20% proportionally more car parking capacity than other nearby Aldi stores.
Conservative councillor Martin Potter said: "They have done a considerable amount of work to demonstrate how the parking is sufficient. I still have some doubts, and at Christmas time I don't think it will cope, but I think that's the case for most retail centres."
Highway improvements will have to be made as part of the scheme, including widening the retail park access to provide two exit lanes, and a system to trigger a toucan crossing when "extensive queues" are not moving.
Royal London has previously said the £6m project will lead to the creation of 100 jobs.

Plans for five new large retail units and a raised car park deck at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre have been approved by Medway Council
The scheme which will see 7,522 sq m of "quality retail and leisure floorspace" built on the centre's existing yellow car park with the new two-tier car park being built on the current blue and overflow car parks.
Residents had raised concerns about the car park extension being too close to properties - standing just 35m away from homes in Kingsdown Close - as well as the net loss of 50 parking spaces but councillors said the proposal was needed to keep the centre near Gillingham, "relevant and attractive" to visitors.
Pentagon Shopping Centre, in Chatham High Street, and the Chatham Town Centre Forum also objected to the extension insisting the plans would be contrary to the council's development plan which promotes town centres.
Labour councillor Dorte Gilry said such fears were misplaced, insisting Hempstead Valley was competing more with Bluewater and other out-of-town shopping centres.
A man has been charged following a large-scale police raid at a Travelodge hotel involving officers searching for a missing teenager.
About 12 vehicles from both Cambridgeshire Police and the Kent force descended on the Travelodge in Witchford Road, Ely, Cambridgeshire on Tuesday.
The Kent Police-led operation was part of a hunt for a missing girl from the county.
A spokesman said the teenager had been found safe and well.
A 29-year-old man of no fixed address has subsequently been charged with "assisting a child to stay away from the responsible person" and released on bail to appear before Maidstone magistrates later.
An 18-year-old man from Weybridge, Surrey, who also arrested, was released pending further enquiries.
