A community centre which supports older people in Medway has been saved from closure for at least a year.
The Royal Voluntary Service has agreed to put £17,500 into the facility in Chatham, matching funding already pledged by Medway Council.
The charity and the authority say they'll now work together in a bid to secure its long-term future.
Quote MessageThe responsibility of the continuation of the centre rests squarely with the RVS, not Medway Council. But it is for Medway Council to work in partnership with the RVS to see how we can do that."
