    We've been visiting those who benefit from your efforts across West Yorkshire.

    The One in a Million, external project in Bradford keeps kids from some of the most deprived parts of the city off the streets 

    The scheme hosts football sessions across the city on Friday nights and also delivers educational messages to those involved .

    Leeds Bradford Airport's runway has been closed for a short period due to the snow but they say they will re-open at 14:00.

    The airport have asked passengers to check flight details with their airline before travelling while they clear the runway.

  8. Listen: Scannell set for 100th start for Townpublished at 11:57 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2016

    Huddersfield Town winger Sean Scannell is set to make his 100th start for the Terriers.

    Scannell made his league debut in the 1–0 defeat by Cardiff City at the Cardiff City Stadium back in November 2012.

    He scored his first goal for the club against Bristol City, which happened to be the winning goal in a match where Huddersfield won 1–0.

    After two months of music, dance and educational workshops BBC Radio Leeds' special Children of the Somme project came to an end last night. 

    Sixty children from Farnham and Cullingworth primary schools performed poetry, songs and dance inspired by the First World War, alongside professional artists from Bradford and around West Yorkshire.

    How about this for a winner with class...

    The first ever Hepworth Prize for Sculpture has been awarded to artist Helen Marten

    She scooped the £30,000 award at a ceremony at the Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield, external last night. 

    But she announced immediately that she'd be sharing the money with her three fellow nominees!

    Six different parties have expressed "serious interest" in buying the Bradford Bulls, according to the Championship club's administrators.

    The four-time Super League champions were placed in administration for the third time on Monday.

    The club's membership of the Rugby Football League has also been terminated and the club could face a points deduction or relegation.

    Joint administrator Gary Pettit said: "We are excited by the interest shown

    "We consider that several of the parties appear to have sufficient resources and experience to take Bradford Bulls forward."

    Police investigating the murder of PC Sharon Beshenivsky have renewed their appeal for information on the eleventh anniversary of her death.  

    Det Supt Simon Atkinson, of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team wants information about Piran Dhitta Khan, who officers want to trace in connection with the inquiry. 

    PC Beshenivsky was fatally shot while attending a report of an armed robbery in Morley Street today in Bradford in 2005.  

    Members of West Yorkshire Police will be attending her annual memorial service in Bradford city centre later today.

    Det Supt Atkinson, said: "This investigation remains ongoing and will continue until everyone involved in PC Beshenivsky's murder has been brought to justice.  

    "Our efforts are continuing to trace Piran Dhitta Khan, who will now be 68.

    "He is thought to be living in Pakistan and we are again appealing directly to the people of Pakistan, as well as those in West Yorkshire and across the country to come forward and provide information on his whereabouts." 

    A £20,000 reward is on offer for information leading to his capture and anyone who can assist the inquiry can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

    A pair of burglars who targeted new homes across West Yorkshire have been jailed.

    Thomas Quinn, 37, and Gordon Hopkins, 39, broke into the homes in Wakefield, Castleford, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Batley, Cleckheaton and Leeds between October 2015 and April 2016.

    They stole the car keys they found inside and then made off with the vehicles.

    In their seven-month spree they stole cars worth £238,000 in 13 burglaries.

    Quinn (pictured top) and Hopkins (pictured above) who are both from Leeds were sentenced to five years and six years respectively at Leeds Crown Court.

    A new auction record was set for a painting by Bradford-born artist David Hockney in New York last night.

    The 79-year-old's Woldgate Woods, 24, 25 and 26 October, 2006 went for $11.7m (£9.4m).

    The 10ft painting, made up of six individual pieces highlighting the landscape of East Yorkshire, had a guide price of between $9m and $12m.

    The previous Hockney auction record was $7.9m (£6.3 million), set in 2009.

    Look North presenters Harry Gration and Amy Garcia are taking part in the final part of their Big 5 challenge.

    Through the week they have abseiled, selfie-d, danced and even taken part in a wing walk.

    But today they're cycling from Pudsey to Bradford. The long way. On a tandem. In this weather.

    The ride is more than 40-miles and takes in lots of our towns.

    Music stars and politicians have come together to record a charity single in memory of the late MP Jo Cox.

    Mrs Cox, 41, was killed in her West Yorkshire constituency of Batley and Spen on 16 June.

    Kaiser Chiefs' Ricky Wilson, Cockney Rebel's Steve Harley and KT Tunstall are among those who have recorded the track with a group of 20 MPs.

    A version of The Rolling Stones' You Can't Always Get What You Want was recorded in Purfleet, Essex, earlier.

    Today marks the 11th anniversary of the murder of PC Sharon Beshenivsky in Bradford. 

    Mrs Beshenivsky was killed outside a travel agency in Morley Street on 18 November 2005 while responding to an armed robbery call.

    The mother of three and stepmother of two died after she was shot in the chest on what was her youngest daughter Lydia's fourth birthday.

    Two men were jailed for life for her murder.  

    Her shift partner, PC Teresa Milburn, was also shot and injured during the incident.

    It's Children in Need day today and I spotted Zippy out collecting at Ben Rhydding station just after 07:00! 

    He was from the Ilkley Round Table, they'll be out and about in the town centre throughout the day.
