I'm at the scene of the major fire at Newsome Mill in Huddersfield which started in the early hours of this morning and has been tackled by about 100 firefighters.

Mill fire aftermathImage source, Emma Robertson

I'm currently looking at a shell of a building - there's no roof, the windows are out and all the floors have dropped down.

There's still a large presence of fire crews at both sides of the building and water is still being streamed in to try and cool things down and smoke is billowing out.

However, Newsome Road has now been reopened and traffic is starting to make its way down there so hopefully the commute should be a little easier now.
